Mel, if you didn't need blood trans after I'm sure you'll be fine, will someone be staying with you (ie OH/ur mum etc)
You could start taking spatone from just before your due date and for a few days after.
I think some people are just more inclined to bleed as I have a friend who had massive bleed after both her huuge babies but I haven't known a single other person who's had a bleed at all. Provided the you feel the MW knows your situation fully then I'm sure it'll be all good, they wouldn't put you/bubs a risk. x0 -
Thanks all.... I'm warming to the car... mainly because of the 55mpg economy and the mahoooooosive boot lol!
Unfortunately for work both DH and I have to have cars of a certain standing... It's even written into DHs contract and it's why he gets a car allowance lol It does happen that we have clients in the car so there is a great incentive to keep them clean! :rotfl:
We did test several cars including the Mazda equivalent and even the Ford Mondeo (the new one) but neither were close to the Passat
We went for the 2litre diesel TDi and it can certainly shift if you put your foot down! I wanted it for reliability - DH because I don't think he's forgiven me for making him get rid of his Hyundai Coupe yet
And grundingly even I have to admit there is plenty of head room in the back... one of my pet hates with his old coupe :rotfl:DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Mel if they get worried nearer the time they will get you to hospital... My cousin has Von Villebrandts disease - it's a type of haemophilia - and due to the high risk they wouldn't let her have a home birth with either of hers - if she had complications they wouldn't have been able to stop the bleeding (heck they even had the royal surgeon on standby! not cos we're royal, she just happened to be attached to my cousins hospital and so due to the high risk she was assigned to them!) but although she lost a little blood and was monitored closely they never needed to do anything... IF however whilst you're at home something happens then you know you can call the ambulance
I don't know why I am telling you to not put HB out of your mind as honestly I'm totally not for it... I firmly believe that we have spent an awful lot of money developing these hospitals and people with skills and I have every intention of being in middle of them when giving birth and not hidden in the back of beyond! :rotfl:
But only you can decide where you want to beme? I wanna be close to all the drugs and doctors thanks muchly
But I know not everyone wants that!

You made him get rid of his Hyundai Coupe?! How could you!
(We've just spend over £1000 getting our P reg Hyundai Coupe repaired, we can't bear to part with it, even after more than 200,000 miles)Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Morning all..
I didn't go to the christening - felt very rough this morning, plus the whole "giving thanks for a baby" might tip me over the edge at the minute (still ten days to go before I get further than last time). They're OH's friends, I've only met the dad once about 18 months ago but never met the baby's mum. I've said we'll both go round in Jan after I'm past 12wks and I know everything is okay.
Sami, I've just seen the bit you added about me having OH's car. I daren't - I can barely park my own in a bus size parking space, I don't think he'd let me loose with his! Unfortunately with him being a fireman I don't think he'll get a "works truck" anytime soon - although it'd be damn impressive to have a fire engine in the drive if we have a boy, wouldn't it?!
I've got to blitz my xmas shopping this afternoon. Even OH was singing "It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.." (ASDA advert?) this morning. He used to be a xmas-eve-shopper but I think I've nagged and puppy-dog-eyed that out of him so he'll be out shopping next week for my pressies!0 -

Now that would be cool!!
I still have trouble parking our car and it has a "slight" (ie massive) scrape on the bumper that I did about a month after getting it, parking on our drive(I did the same thing in my micra too!) who says girls can't park?!

My parking skills are an on-going joke. I'll have to get a silver car next time so the scrapes don't show up as easily. What's worst, I park under our bay window and the house now has blue (car) paint on it and my car has white (house) paint on it! Oops!0

As for HB, my midwives said they will start me on iron or to boost my iron levels from 34 weeks and that will help, if there are any problems during they have a 999 callout and are made priority and it is done from the beginning of the problem rather than last min. If you are unsure i would talk it through with you MW and make your decision from there, you have to want it 100% and not be unsure at all!
