My Muslim SIL had big McD's cravings while pregnant. She told me that if someone where to turn up with a big mac, it would be rude to refuse it, and she'd have to eat it despite it not being Halal!

  • I had an early scan as I dont have regular periods so had no indication of when the magic happened  OH guessed at 8 weeks, and was only out by 4 days! I must say I am very impressed by OH he is being very supportive, and from time to time I feel like a 5 year old "dont wanna eat it! you cant make me!" and "I'm tiiiiiiiiirrrreeeed" and my favourite at the moment " I feel sicky". I am trying to squirrel away some money to buy OH a really nice watch for Christmas with an engraving on it :D well thats the plan.

I am curious but is it normal to get twinges in random muscles in the abdomen front and back? I have sussed that feeling sick all day is normal, and according to my mum, getting up at 3 am for an hour because I cant sleep isnt anything out of the ordinary either. I just wish there was a part of my brain that knew all the answers to this already! Ho hum:rolleyes:

    Hi ticklepenny

yes twinges in abdomen is very common in early pregnancy. My doctor explained them away as 'attaching' pains and growth pains. Unless they are worryingly sore and/or accompanied by bleeding you don't have to worry.

I'm 26 wks and still sound like a whingey toddler!!!!

After all this talk today I've just dropped toddler off at preschool - and continued up the road to McDs - where I had a cheeseburger and really hot & salty chips - yum!!! I hate salt normally but really wanted it today (I prefer BK normally but not atm) YUM YUM YUM!!!! :D
I had a McD on Tues too - they seem to stay down, unlike chinese, toast, pasta - all of which like to reappear :(

good luck Heather! Hope it goes fantastically!
