Sounds helpfull Tine, just think, you can work in your pyjamas!!!
I work for a charity from home atm but will be stepping down in November, halfway through my maximum term but I'm thinking I might be able to have 12 months out then go back for another 3 years... Haven't decided really... But before I found out about the baby I was offered a job working on the wards of a local hospital... Just got to complete the induction day I've had to put off until November... I don't really know what to do about it now... It's an opportunity I've been working towards for 4 years (and would quite willingly do it for free, but hey... They offered pay...) I don't want to turn it down now but I'm going to have to look into maternity leave and all sorts... Although I probably won't be entitled to any maternity pay... But then I'll have a job to go back to after the baby... and I'm not sure if I want that... I've loved being at home with DD....
Sorry rambling.... Just don't really know... Anything... really... hmm....A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Incidently, we don't eat McD's for ethical reasons... I'm sure BK ethics aren't really much better but until someone shows me actual evidence I will continue to feign ignorance...
Me neither or BK (read fast food nation for evidence but maybe wait until after bubs:D) but do eat KFC which is just as bad (poss worse) but as you KT said ignorance is bliss:p0 -
Morning everyone
ATM I'm eating really bland food cos anything spicy, greasy or dripping in sauce makes me feel icky. BUT it's no hardship cos I love mashed potatoes, with or without cheese and onion mixed in.
I've done a massive supermarket order which will be delivered tomorrow between 6pm and 8pm (trays of tinned catfood and cat litter that are so heavy). All I'll need to do now for the next six weeks is get the perishables like eggs, fresh fruit and veg etc. I'm thinking of trying to make my own bread again so we'll see how that pans out!
hugs to all

Morning ladies
Just catching up and all that talk of junk food is making me hungry! I have a bag of fruit sat on my desk but I know it just won't cut it  I may have to send someone out for oatcakes this morning!
I was SO tempted to work from home today - just for an extra hour in bed...I am so jealous of you ladies in pj's!
I have had a funny old week - on Wednesday I spent the afternoon facilitating a workshop of over 50 blokes (there were over 50 of them...although lots of them were over 50 too!) which I do about 4 times a year. It's always nerve wracking being a young(ish) woman in a male industry but this was my first time whilst pregnant so it felt very different. Anyway, the adrenaline, combined with 2 mugs of starbucks coffee, seemed to have an effect on bubba who didn't stop moving for about 4 1/2 hours after I finished. He really started to worry meand he was making me feel really sick. I spoke to the midwife at aquanatal and she said it was prob just the stresses of the day but to keep an eye on bubba and to go get him checked out if he keeps doing it.
I felt like a fool worrying about baby moving too much but you know when something just doesn't feel right? I will be staying away from the coffee in future (have had mostly decaf since I got pregnant).
Heather - hope that babe is here and everything went swimmingly.
Happy baking vibes to all!
Angeleyes - I was advised no shellfish either - that definitely includes prawns. I have had them once when on holiday and I knew they were VERY fresh. Another question - have you guys noticed any weird changes since you got pregnant? I've got dandruff for the first time in my life, I'm pretty miffed about it!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

I think the occasional prawn isn't the end of the world... so long as they are fresh and cooked properly.

I suffer eczema on my head (amongst other places) so no real difference there... But I did notice with DD the hormones made my hair go curly... It gradually started to straighten out when she was abou 18months old but we went on holiday with my Nan and to stop her disturbing in the night (my Nan was worse than DD at waking!) I ended up breastfeeding her pretty much all night every night for 2 weeks and my hair had curled right up again at the end!
On the morning sickness front, I'm feeling tons better since our sickie thing on Tuesday... I don't know if it's just because I felt so rank then anything is better... Or maybe now I'm 9weeks and the placenta is kicking in it's eased a bit... either way, as long as I don't get hungry I'm only feeling a little bloaty most of the time, I can handle that!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Glad you're feeling better Krystal - as we're roughly at the same stage I can relate! I have to say that today feels a little better! Still taking a cyclizine at night which knocks me out and stops the early morning sickness... afternoons are a bit iffier
I hope mine was just earlier than everyone normally is and that it'll start easing off now I'm over 9 weeks
