The voucher for the nappy bin is with the Bounty pack you receive at the hospital when you have your baby. The information I have about it says the voucher is to be used at Argos and you get the bin for £4.99.

I didn't get that in my hospital bounty pack but I don't know if that's normal now!

My hospital put a band on each of Celia's ankles, while changing her in the hospital one of them came off, I told the midwife who just rammed it back on, very safe

SB, thanks for mentioning the Manchester baby fair, all being well we'll be there, the pull of freebies is strong! :D

oh AM, hope your headache goes in time. Think you will need a clear head around possibly noisy 1 year olds :D

skintchick - i was made redundant last week (at 9 weeks) which means I won't qualify for SMP either, just MA which isn't enough as I needed the 90% of salary for the first 6 weeks to afford me the time off I wanted. Anyway, after registering with a few agencies and being upfront about being pregnant, they all said don't worry about telling a prospective employer at interview or anything as it's still very early days and a lot of women wouldn't know by this stage they were pregnant anyway. They said seeing as you don't have to legally inform an employer until much later on about being pregnant, then there is no need to let it spoil the chances of getting a new job soon.

Obviously if you don't 'need' the money from working that's different, but if you do need to work then it shouldn't be a problem this early on.

I don't 'need' to but hubby wants me to :rotfl: He's not up for me being a kept woman if no baby on the way!

EDIT - had you told your work you were PG? Cos that would make it harder for thme to make you redundant.

And thanks to all those yesterday who put my mind at rest about having no symptoms at all, I feel better knowing it's not 'abnormal' as some are trying to have me believe! I did think what about all those women who don't even know they're pregnant until much later on.

The people who doubt I'm 'really pregnant' just because I'm not throwing up all day can get stuffed lol.

Yeah you do get the voucher from the hospital pack. Its the pack that the bounty lady brings round when shes trying to get you to buy some very expensive pictures. Its the newborn essentials one I think. Hubby went out and got ours on Monday. Just reserved it online and picked it up in store. Its very handy indeed as I so couldnt be bothered going outside every time to put it in the bin.

Feeling strange today - still pleased obviously but definitely more detached than last time. I guess that's natural as until I get to 12 weeks i will be scared of losing it.

I know it is so difficult as I never regained the euphoria of the first pregnancy after I m/c but do try to enjoy it. My MW told me this was a brand new completely different preg and there was no reason why it should happen again......and now I have Poppy and a son on the way! :)

    Take care of yourself.
