Hubby says I have to look for a new job in case I miscarry. So that's that then! He says i can leave later if I want to but I have to find a job just in case.

Sounds like he has his sensible (party-pooper!) hat on.. I suppose it's got to be considered but don't think about it too much - trust me, it'll do your head in but get you nowhere!

I still say give yourself a week of gently (;)) browsing the web before you march into the JobCentre full speed next week :)
  • He knows you better than anyone skinty - and he has your best interests at heart. I have to say that I probably agree with him, although not for the same reasons - you never know, you may want to go back after a period of maternity too (lots of women can't wait to go back at least part time, if only for some brain stimulation).

You should be celebrating not worrying - stressing is not helpful for anyone.

Take care and get a good nights sleep.

skint you might as well fill online forms for JSA as it takes ages to get sorted, you can always cancel appointment later on. They super busy at the mo (in my area anyway) I'm getting JSA and they always complaining that they really busy at the mo!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

    morning all,

ticklepenny - i'm pretty much glad that part is over for me. although it was a constant reminder that i was pregnant. i only get the sickness type feeling now if i let myself get too hungry.

well after feeling crappy all afternoon and into the evening, i felt better after a bath. only then this morning did i manage to turn my alarm off, over sleep and now i feel a bit average again. hoping it wears off soon. oh the joys!!!

Hi guys, just an update on my birth story. Sorry its not a plesant one.
I went for a rouitine midwife appt when I was 35 weeks, she thought I was measuring small for dates and so sent me down the hospital for a scan. They found that the blood supply to baby was reduced so baby had to come out early. There were no SCBU beds available in the area so had to travel 90 miles away. Had an emergency c-section, we spend nearly 3 weeks in SCBu trying to stabalise his blood sugar level. We were then told he was younger, more like 33-34 weeks which meant my original dates were correct.
    Anyway, all is well now.
Hope all goes well for the rest of you. Thanks for all the support and advice over the last 9 months. Will cu over in the parent thread in the near future.
    xxx

    Hi
    Can I come back in?

Some of you may remember that I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in early October.

    Well ... I'm pregnant again!

    Woohoo!

Just did a test today and then a digital one to confirm and I conceived 1-2 weeks ago according to my hormone levels.

Hopefully I can keep this one in this time. I'm quite nervous but also v v pleased obviously. So I'm back! :D

Not going to GP just yet - I may as well wait till I'm a little further on I think.

Now I'm wondering - can I still have carbonara sauce made of egg and cream? I was really looking forward to that!

Welcome back to the forum Skintchick and congratulations...:T :T

    THanks Kathy. And Caz!
Feeling strange today - still pleased obviously but definitely more detached than last time. I guess that's natural as until I get to 12 weeks i will be scared of losing it.
Had a call about a possible job last night too which is great - hopefully will get an interview and can then sell myself! Feel a tad guilty about being PG and not telling them but I'm only about 4 weeks gone.
