Nicole the fatigue will get worse more likely than not I'm afraid
I'm at 12 + 4 and I'm still suffering from it... (and don't get me started on morning sickness!) I know mine wasn't initially helped by also being given cyclizine which knocks me out (to control the vomiting) but even once I cut the doze to 1/3 of what they prescribed me I still get tired very very quickly...

FINALLY had my booking in appointment this morning, it's the first time I've seen a midwife despite the fact I'm 11w4d. Ah well. My appointment was at 10.30am, it was way past 11am before I was seen and after 12 before I got out! Luckily hubby had stayed at home with the kids so I didn't have to try and entertain them for an hour.
They sent my wee sample away - that's the first time they've ever not just dipstick tested it. Is this a new thing? I consented to all my bloods today purely because my GP wants to test my immunity to parvovirus as we think my daughter had it a few weeks ago. Getting the AFP test done at the start of December and that's it! No more bloods for me! My BP was 100/58 though, is that low?
Next up is my dating scan on the 21st then my consultant appointment on the 9th where they'll do the AFP. Then that's that! I'll only have five more scheduled visits until 40 weeks.0 -
picked up my 'mum to be' bounty pack today from asda.
not impressed at all really
there were only a few samples (sudacream/ovaltine/fairy). everything else was just pamphlets.
there are some coupons to use on various products at asda. the main one is £5 of a £15 spend on baby or health and beauty.

We've started looking a pushchairs/pram and the current top of the list is the "Mamas & Papas - Pliko Pramette - Polka" and the best price we've found is £240
Anyone here got/had one and able to offer their opinion?
TIA,

loads of people are off work at that time and it is always a bit of a 'family' time (plus you can buy birthday gifts in the sales if you are organised enough

Birmingham baby show falls on my due date next year
Think we will still aim to go though if baby hasn't made an appearance by then lol... Might not pre book tickets though...
We've not really looked at any baby things... Still have the old pram hanging over my head as it were... My nana mentioned it the other night and I broached the possibility of buyin a new one anyway, she just started waffling that if I wanted to buy it new things I could buy it clothes... She just didn't get it...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I want to ask the 2nd timers and the 3rd trimesters, how much weight have you put on? what is the expexted? Im interested to know how much you put on in the 1st 3 months? 2nd 3 and altogether?!!
Thanks
xxxxx
Nicole: I am one of the "lucky" ones as I didn't put on much, to be honest its totally different for each woman but "they" say that you should expect to put on about 24lbs but my personal experience was:
pre preg I was about 8 stone, size 8, 30DD boobs and slim toned bod from gym 3times a week.
Post preg I was 8 1/2 stone, size 12, 32D boobs and "shapely" bum n hips and a bit of a podge belly although I'm sure I'd lose a dress size or 2 once I get down the gym (which won't happen until 2nd bubba has arrived and off to school:rolleyes:)
There is a preg weight gain calculator here tho not sure how reliable it is
Hope that is of some use to you (ps. I didn't breast feed so that may of helped slim me down)
edit: just realised you asked about trimesters I put on about 1/2 stone in first then didn't weigh myself again until I was 8mths and I was just over 9stone so I guess just before Christopher appeared I was max 91/2 stone. The weight dropped off straight away with me as I barely ate during baby blues (when I see pic of me from then I think I look anorexic!)but once I was feeling better I sat around eating lots of choccy and was soon filling my jeans0 -
Midwife said that because of my high BMI, there is no reason for me to gain any weight. So far, so good!
Been talking to OH about baby things, and says we can start shopping in January.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
