How far is it on the train AF? I could meet you at the station
I have no plans to go at the mo - part of me wants to and part of me thinks it will just be horrible and crowdedPlus we have DSS on a Saturday - is there anything to amuse kids there or will it just be a day of dragging a sulky 8 year old around?
onlyroz - I was looking at the Quinny Buzz too but don't like the way that the seat jiggles around - just doesn't feel very secure to me(having said that my assistant has one and she says it is fine...)
please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Ooh A Baby show sounds fun - but too far away for me I'm afraid
off to see the MW this morning for my fit to fly letter. No envisaging any problems - fingers crossed.
Then meeting a friend in town - still hunting for some maternity clothes so hopefully will find something suitable.r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

Can't put a price on friendship AF  it's a good job I am not easily insulted;)
Right - my baby brain kicked in in full force last night and I need you guys to help me out. I KNOW that I read in Which magazine that the maxicosi cabrio car seat was the best in all the tests for safety and ease of fitting etc...but when I looked in my Which last night I couldn't even see that they had tested the maxicosi (nevermind it being the best)
Can anyone explain??please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Morning all :-)
Gave up waiting this morning & phoned the 'specialist' m/w myself - and got through!! She had got the message yesterday but went into a meeting, so was going to phone me today.
Anyway, long & short of it is I'm booked in for a CVS on Weds morning - with (hopefully) initial results to be received Friday or Monday (please let it be Friday!) To complicate matters DH has an interview i another city Weds afternoon, so is trying to rearrange - it was meant to be yest afternoon, but he stayed home with me instead - not sure how well this will go down. He needs to get a job too - about 7 weeks left at work, which doesn't sound too bad - until you realise that at his level job processes take maybe 3 months to go through :-(
M/w seemed keen to discuss amnios - I guess cos they have a slightly better rate re m/c. However, I'm starting to show and would need maternity wear definitely by the time of an amnio and people may well have guessed. As it is I'm going to have to tell mother in law as I'll need her help with the kids for the day of the test and day after. My mum is on hols and gets back the day of the test - I'm SO hoping she doesn't want to visit that day. Also if I had to wait another 3 weeks for an appt I'd go crazy. I'm trying to be positive - my nuchal measurement is on the low side of high (iyswim) - borderline, I suppose - by itself not necessarily anything to get overly concerned about. I don't really get the free beta hcg level - didn't have that test with my youngest 3 years ago - but again it's on teh low side of high. After all, I have a 98% chance it'll all be ok....
Anywya, enough of that - I have tried to tahnk all of you but my tahnks button is being temperamental. I think i managed it, but if I missed one or two, I'm sorry - and thank you!
New Look - yep do maternity wear. No idea what it's like though ;-)
H&M do mat wear too. Shame asda doesn't any more - I bought loads for ds2 from there and it was all dead cheap. Got rid of it all, though, so have none left. Only mat wear I have is bras from M&S :-)
Candygirl - hope all goes well today :-)
MrsTine - I would suggest at your age you are not high risk for a nuchal. It is your decision, but our local health trust only seem to say for 35+, unless there is a history. (And even at 35+ yoiu have to pay!)
Hope you all have a lovely day

We've started looking a pushchairs/pram and the current top of the list is the "Mamas & Papas - Pliko Pramette - Polka" and the best price we've found is £240
Anyone here got/had one and able to offer their opinion?
TIA,
