really pleased to hear you are feeling like that, and great about OH.

i think for the men it must be difficult becuase they are just told you are pregnant and that they are going to be a dad. yes, they go to the scans etc and can see bubs on a screen, but it's your body that all the changes are happening too and with they aren't included.

Tomorrow will be the first time he sees the baby, so that'll be good! He technically was there at the first scan but he didn't look at the screen, he was too busy getting me tissues!

not sure if i would get the option of a c/s, or whether that depends on what Trust you come under????
They may not offer you a c/s but you can ask for one at any time and they will then have to consider if you can book one or not.
Personally the thought of having c/s terrifies me but I'm sure all will be fine for me as Christopher slipped out without much trouble - just gas n air and a few stitches afterwards (having stitches hurt more than the birth!)

Also thought I'd mention I got my emma's diary mum to be pack and there was a bottle of peartiser in it with 2x 50p vouchers for apple/pear/fruittiser I love all of those so it was worth it for me not much else of use in there tho

Thanks for that Sami_Bee. The thought of a c/s isn't doing much for me either as it is an 'operation' isn't it. I will see how i go at the 34 week scan and what is discussed thereafter.

Oh, i haven't picked up my Emma's Diary Mum to Be pack yet. Picked up the Bounty one last night and was really disappointed.

AF, I wouldn't worry too much at this stage about how the baby is growing anyway... And when they formulate the weight it is only a guess based on measurements. Before they will offer you a CS they will offer to induce you if they think it's getting to be a big baby.

They scared the life out of me telling me how big DD was and I was desperate to be induced early but as it was, I went into labour naturally and she was born with no real fuss...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Am I allowed to say I told you so :p

feely - glad you are feelinggood ('scuse the pun!) - if you think your pregnancy is going slow then you should be glad that you didn't find out at 4 weeks like some of us did!!

I have to say sometimes a c-section doesn't sound so bad - everyone says the stitches are the worst bit and to be honest the thought of someone sewing up my foof scares the life out of me!

i honestly just wanted the £5 off voucher but was hoping for a few more surprises in there

i agree, the though of the stitches in my lower bits terrifies me as does the tearing, but hey ho, too late for that now :rotfl:

MFD - Stitches scare me too! How likely are they? Does everyone have them?

Nope not everyone who gives birth through the as MFD put it foof :rotfl:has stitches Its all to do with how stretchy your bits are, how quick the birth is and how big the baby's head is.
unfortunately for me Chris inherited his dad's mahoosive head and arrived 7hrs after my waters broke (which was the 1st sign I got of labor starting) so I had about 5 stitches. I didn't feel the actual tearing as it happend and to be honest the pain of birth is a weird kind of pain that doesn't make u feel scared like when you cut yourself IYKWIM but the sudden shock of the needle when I was "just met my son floaty happy" was what did it but MW told me to have a bit more gas and then it wasn't to bad.
Also My friend didn't tear at all so no stitches, her 2 babies were both heavier than Christopher but came slowly and had as she puts it her pea head:D
