Lol SB... I have the mifwife coming in the morning... It's giving me palpitations though, there is the suspicious wiff of cat pee on the air... I can't trace it but then can't be sure its not one of those over sensitive pregnancy wiffs....
And for all the people considering matching nursery furniture... I wouldn't bother really... DD's set cost about £500 inc the cotbed... The chest of drawers as previously mentioned is falling apart now... and seeing as we just got DD a new bed it doesn't match now anyway... The cheapest set of melamine that I bought to tide me over is still going strong and is still immaculate white... Ho hum!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

The furniture we already had in the spare room is similar in colour so thats all we needed to get really. I'm going to get the same one for this baby too (as I figured the drop down sides won't be an issue as I think we have decided to stick at 2 children:cool:).
We went to Mamas & Papas first and the prices were :eek::eek::rotfl:.

I'm glad I've got to go there this time. I don't like people coming round! Still get nervous when the nurse comes round, and she has been round dozens of times.
I'm still nervous though. Leaving in 15 minutes. All scared. Wish me luck.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Hello all,
Update on me: Went to hospital yesterday for an appointment with screening department. As we are having twins, different methods of screening for Downs are used. We are booked in for a nuchal scan on Monday but are stopping at that - can only have this test up to 13w, 6 days and I am 13 wks now. We discovered more envasive tests such as tests the amniotic waters with needles would have a 4% chance of miscarrying either/both of the babies.
Picked up my Bounty Mums to Be pack from Asda yest. Some goodies in there! Plus had a voucher to get the Huggies Newborn Starter Kit worth £5 for free - had about 27 nappies in it and a box of wipes.
My hubbies sister has a son of 11 and daughter of 3 and she has saved most stuff for us when we had kids. Kids being the right term now that twins are on the way! Least we will only have to buy one cot, car seat etc instead of two!Proud mother of twin boys - double the trouble and twice the pleasure! :T0 -

I'm back!
Midwife was lovely, an elderly lady in a pleated skirt who was very chatty and friendly.
Everything is normal, and I heard the heartbeat! Was very emotional.
No appointments now till the Consultant in December.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

that reminds me, i'm going to phone my local asda to see if they have any bounty packs instore. i wanted to get mine there instead of boots because you get a voucher, i thought it was £5 off baby stuff, but more than happy if it would be the kind of voucher you have said about.0 -
I've been carrying my voucher round in my bag since I booked in with the midwife... Might just give it OH... He leaves the house more often than me... Or travels further than the school at any rate!
Glad everything went well FG, and well done on hearing the heartbeat!!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
