  • candice - you need to go to the docs and get it checked. I had heart flutterings to start with and I ended up at the hospital for an ECG. I was fine but you need to be checked out to make sure it isn't anything that could pose a risk to your health (and hence baby's)

Angela - why on earth would you need 2 midwife appointments in 1 week?? Is it a mistake?

I have chosen a light coloured cotbed with drop sides...bubbas room is quite small - although DSS keeps saying he wants bubba in with him in his room (not for long once he arrives I am sure!!).

I am currently considering whether to go for the wardrobe etc too - part of me thinks I should and part of me wonders why it is so bl00dy expensive to get matching baby furniture  :D

I had docs appointment this morning and they registered the pregnancy. I was surprised but i have two midwife appointments next week. One on Tuesday and one on Thursday. The doctor didnt think they would need to carry out any additional tests given my age.

I didnt think i'd get a midwife appt for ages never mind two in one week x

saying about docs appts, i need to book one but it's for something i am a tad embarassed about so not looking forward to doing so.

Angela - are these your booking in appts with your MW then? i only had to have one, but i must say it lasted well over an hour.
  • Thanks MFD I have mw appt on the 17th so I will def keep an eye on it and as its only been 2 days Il wait bit longer before goin in sooner.

Have just googled it (little info is dangerous and all that!!) seems with the extra blood it could be just one of those things, I wont take any chances if it happens more though.

I love the idea of matching furniture but almost fell over at the prices, lol.

  • candice - the MW prob won't do anything because it is not pregnancy related (you wouldn't speak to her if you broke your arm IYSWIM - same thing). And 17th is a long way off!!

If it carries on go to the doc (better safe than sorry)

    lecture over ;):D

I've had palpatitions for the past few weeks, will make sure to remember to mention it. Its added to my long list for this afternoon.

I'm all nervous! I've convinced myself that they won't be able to find a heartbeat. Hurry up 1.15. First time I get to meet my Midwife.

I'm just getting a cot from Ikea, and a moses basket. Baby doesn't have a bedroom! We are in a three bed house, but OH has just converted one room into a gym, and the other is a walk in wardrobe! No idea where the baby is going! We are planning on buying a house in 2-3 years, so the baby can just sleep in the cupboard till then. This house is rented, so I'm not decorating or anything.

I know this situation we're in a 3 bed terrace but one room is ours, other is Christopher's and the 3rd has no plaster on one wall, the wonkiest plaster you've ever seen on the others, no carpet and is filled with boxes, rolls of wallpaper, tins of paint and good knows what else! we had a mouse in there last year, never caught the booger but no evidence it came back either.
If the housing market picks up we should be able to move just after bubba is born so it'll still be in our room until then - god knows what we''l do if houses still aren't selling by the time bubba is 6mths I suppose we'll have to move in to my mum n dads while we get builders in:rolleyes:

  • Oh, and would you believe I have only this morning found a pack of 2 lemon cot sheets in a storage box from Zorbit! How weird is that?! :D. They were never opened as I use fitted sheets :o and they must have been a gift. I also found quite a few cellular blankets that I absolutely obviously needed to buy at the time .
