SB these aren't as bad as the pre-school ones - imagine a 3 1/2 yr old seeing a nurse coming at her! It gets worse, she had to have 3 injections! They said I could put one off til a later date but I knew there would be no getting her back into the surgery again! Luckily grandad came with us as DH was working, only I knew with bubs being a large lump, I wouldn't have room to hold her arms and legs under control on my lap! Thinking of you, its awful when they are little but at least you take comfort from the fact that they don't understand whats going on! Once they get to Poppy's age though, they so know whats about to happen! Good luck and also for the scan.

Try giving her a dose of calpol about 30 mins before the jab is due, and give her something interesting like a lollipop or biscuit right before they do it... Takes their mind off... Unfortunately I gave DD a box of raisins which she managed to drop all over the floor so was already crying before they jabbed her... Actually her pre-school boosters were a lot less stressful, although heart breaking... She just started saying 'ow Mummy that hurts' when they were doing it but was ever so brave.....

Must confess I'm also a leg splayer... Will make a conscious effort to keep them more together... Although I wish someone had mentioned it when I was having DD, I spent most of my pregnancy cross legged on the floor... No wonder I was in agony!

And yes the guy was certain there was still only one in there thankfully! Phew!!!
It's got it's little arms curled up after waving loads at us and the legs are folded up too ready to do another bounce - it was like a little kangaroo!!!

sorry but lol at the carrying on breastfeeding as he was 2 and 1/2 before he gave it up! by this time i was climbing the walls but as he was a screaming baby 24 7 it was the only thing to keep him quiet. he also hated his dad and would only sleep when his face was buried in my chest, needless to say the rest were only breastfed until a year old and 6 months old!
will need to find the pic of lewis as he looked like he had been tangoed!!
