Hope you're scan goes well Tine!

FG, pelvic girdle pain is an all encompassing thing from what I can gather, it includes SPD and also pain that often gets mistaken for sciatica... Clicking hips could probably be the start of it.. I would ask your midwife to refer you to a physio... and climb the stairs like a toddler, 2 feet to a step...

I'm feeling pretty crappy this morning... Can't go in the kitchen because something smells in there and it's turning my stomach... Someones given me half a cold so I keep waking up really bunged up which makes me heave... Oh and to top it off, even though I'm absolutely dead on my feet, once I get to bed I can't drop off and I'm awake at 4am!

  • Morning all,

Hope the scan goes well Mrs T!

Lunastar - I am 12 weeks and had my first scan last week and I am one of those that discovered we were having twins - quite shocking news it was!

Since the scan last Tues, we have been getting used to the idea. As we are now in 12 weeks we are telling everyone the news and telling them about the double news.

Health wise nothing has changed. But the nausea has passed I think now. I am just feeling quite normal.

    Congrats on the BFP's!
Proud mother of twin boys - double the trouble and twice the pleasure! :T

candygirl - I still get lots of mild period-type pains but if it is more than that I would def advise dd to get it checked out - get her to give the midwife a call if it continues.
If she is 20 weeks do you get to find out what flavour grandchild you will be having soon???
Thanks everyone for your advice. She has gone to work and is ok today, and yea she's finding out what she's having on Friday, and i'm goin with her, can't wait:T :T :T

  • Congrats and welcome EssexGirl! :j

I waited until the 12w scan with Poppy and this preg following my m/c in 2006 for exactly the same reasons you have listed. I'm sure everything will be just fine and you will get lots of support and advice from the lovely ladies on this thread :D.

Thanks everyone.. Will do the last CBD I have in the morning and see what comes of it.

Cazscoob, can I ask what you mean about "rehus problems"? I found out last time I'm rhesus neg.

i had problems with my little boy as he needed light therapy and we were looking at a possible transfusion as his billyruben level were far too high and they couldnt get them to level out. the others have been fine however they keep a close check on all my babies when they have been born. they said it didnt help i breastfed it would sort itself out quicker if he was bottle fed???? anyway only advantage now is that he gets a fab tan in the summer lol!

you will get offered injections during preganacy(which i declined) and 1 at end of pregnancy unless baby has same blood group as you!

    Congratulations though!!! was so pleased when i seen a BFP!!!:j :j :j

Caz, bottlefeeding would probably help in the short term but the long term benefits of breastfeeding far outway! Well done :)

  • Quick question - I am about to place a big order with vertbaudet (mostly for knickers as my old ones are cutting off the circulation to my hips!) and I have a code that gives you £15 off (+ a free gift) if spending over £20. My question is, does anyone know if I can then use this discount on later orders? If so I will divide my order into £20 chunks to maximise my savings but being lazy, if it doesn't work, it would be far easier to just place one big order.
    Any ideas ladies?

Now I'm off to catch up with about 40 pages of posts...

NOTE : Editted to remove code - thanks SB!

canada bound make sure you check the voucher covers clothing as well. I ordered stuff from them under the same deal and it didn't include some of the happy value (or whatever they called it) clothes and the feeding/bathtime stuff at the back of the catalogue.
