Nunnygirl, sorry to read that - has AF properly appeared now as it might not be on the way perhaps? Oh well, you know more about this then me, but as you say there is always next month and if AF appears, then the next OV is nearer!

No, she still ain't reared her ugly head yet but I'm getting the same as what I had last month......brown spotting.:o

I've resigned myself to not being PG this month now

And I totall yagree with you about the magnums....they're great hayfever relief;)

kencokenco, I've been wondering where you had gone. Sorry to hear about the stay in hospital, but glad to hear you've managed to lose a stone in weight, thats good going. :T

  • Hi Everybody,

I'm new round here and don't know what any of the abbreviations mean (although check out my 'TTC' in the subject line! wooo me!).
I currently have the Mirena IUD in and have had it for a couple of years. Hubby and I (okay, mostly I!) would like to start trying for a baby towards the end of this year, so I was thinking of of getting the Mirena out in July, using an alternative contraception for a couple of months while my body sorts itself out, then seeing how things go after that.

Does this seem like a sensible plan to all you ladies who seem to know what you're doing? Has anyone had any experiences/problems with getting pregnant after having the Mirena removed?

    Thanks for your help!

Hey GeordieAussie (you from the toon? if so hello :) I am in the toon now)

I dont know about the Mirena (I dont actually know what that is eek lol) but I did the same thing with the pill, I came off the pill about 7 months ago (after being on it 11 years) and we are using condoms till our holiday is over in July, then we are going to get BD'ing (Baby Dancing (sex lol))

Afternoon everyone, well I'm kinda sad to say AF's almost here, had more bright red spotting this morning so I don't think shes far away. My bbs don't hurt any more either, just like this time last month.

It has though given me renewed vigour about losing weight etc......looking at starting to go somewhere like slimming world or weightwatchers as I need some proper help with food etc, as my efforts aren't really doing anything.

I've been advised by my SIL to go to the doctors first though and see what they suggest so I'm going to get her to book me an appointment when she goes back to work tomorrow.

Hopefully we get some more BFP's very soon

GeordieAussie, welcome to TTC. I haven't had the mirena myself, but hopefully there'll be someone who has who will be able to help you

Hi, everyone, Sorry not been on for a few weeks.

I have been in hospital getting a few problems sorted. But im back now and glad to say feeling so much better.

Hope everyone is ok, haven't read through all the bits ive missed since going into hospital, but will finish reading in a bit.

The one thing I did say while in hospital was that they should have a little internet room, for those of us that like to log on for updates. (lol) The nurse looked at me as if I was going mad as well)

Well counting down the days to my fertility appt to start Clomid properly. I cannot wait, feeling so much better and not so worthless as a women.

I was starting to become very depressed with it all, and it all became a little to much for me at the time. Had many days crying, feeling useless, worthless, even felt like giving up my job at one point and leaving my partner, as didn't feel it was fair on him to go through all this because of me. I went through a really bad patch but glad to say im back and back with alot more fighting spirit inside me. (soooo bring it on)

I ready for it all now, I have also lost another stone in weight whether that was the stress etc I dont know, but it was the one good thing to happen. But having said that still no periods at all, not even a little trickle.

Well hope you are all doing good, and Im back online with you all to go through this journey one more time. yey.

Hi Kencokenco, welcome back too, glad to hear u are back up on ur feet and feelin betta.
Think we all go thru stages of feelin like sh#@ and wandering it u can take any more disapointment and upset but we are all after the same goal on here and its nice that everyone can keep each other goin with support and encouragement :D

Good luck with clomid i could be joinin u with that myself too soon if cycles dont sort themselves out...

Im on CD43 now and stil no AF:mad: did a test yesterday BFN.
