    RIGHT I AM NOW BACK!

The consultant was extremely kind and very supportive. (not like my doctor)
Well he has looked through the blood test results I had done at the doctors. (I asked for a copy from my doctors)

He said that my doctor had no rigt to tell us that we only had a <1% chance of concieving. He agrees that although the chances are low they are no-where near the 1% mark. He estimates between 35 and 40% this is so much better and gives us hope.

He said when having treatment before I was not being properly treated and monitored and is going to put in a complaint as we are not the first couple to see him from my regular gp surgery.

WELL we have agreed to try the Clomid again but under the correct supervision from his staff, he then went on to explain that if this does not work he will then go on to refer me for ovarian drilling. He said although this sounsd daunting it will all be worth while in finding the right solution for us as a couple.

Also he talked about IVF. We discussed with him how long we have been trying and that my partner has had sperm count etc done. Talked about the money we have saved for the baby, and how we have been together 14yrs etc etc. He said he will do all he can to help us and that if the ovarian drilling does not work and the clomid etc. He would have no problem what so ever in referring us for IVF.

So all in all it has been a very unexpected but pleasant surprise to us. AND TO BE TOLD THE DOCTOR WAS WRONG . After he told us 1% and they say 35 40% this is such a big difference and has made me feel so much more hopefully again. im so happy at the moment cant stop smiling.

well will let you all know next week how I get on when starting this clomid, I hope it goes well, as before I had no problems at all only to be told today that it was all done wrong. so now a little worried about side effects etc.

will keep you all posted and thankyou all for your support, without you I probally would have given up by now, I thankyou all from the bottom of my heart;) ;)

And blimey, I seem to have missed so much today - bl**dy work always gets in the way!

So fantastic to read you got a quick appointment and I'm over the moon for you Kencokenco, and very pleased you posted before the big forum shutdown. Which, of course, being handled no doubt by men will commence early as we all know they can never hold on for long ;)

I gave in today and ordered pre-seed to go with my Toni Weschler book! OH will have a fit when he gets home next week and sees the pile of stuff I've ordered... well, he shouldn't leave me alone for so long :rotfl:

So hi to all, best of luck for a great weekend (lots of BDing for possible January babies I hope) and see you on the other side

    FANTASTIC NEWS Kencokenco!!!

Not to say I told you so, but GPs are just pants when it comes to fertility stuff. I am so pleased you've found someone much more on the ball, and also someone who sounds like he has an ounce of humanity too.

Good luck with Clomid, and don't worry if it comes to the ovarian drilling. I had this done before I managed to conceive my first child. It was really really minor surgery - a day case with a few days off work afterwards to spoil myself, and it helped me reach the ultimate goal.

Oh Kencokenco you've made me cry again! That's the 3rd time today! God talk about hormonal! I was truly devastated for you when I read your post after seeing your GP and am delighted that a professional fertility specialist has given you some hope again. 35-40% IVF chances don't sound far off normal percentages. I really really really hope we can hear some more positive news from you soon. Good luck!

Well I'm happy today (depsite crying all the time!) My cbfm gave me my first peak this month today on cd13 which means ov on cd14. Since I started monitoring my cycle a year ago my earliest ov was last month at cd 19. I'm putting this down to my meds being doubled a couple of months ago and my prolactin levels coming down to their lowest since being diagnosed! I am hoping this is a postive sign for normal ferility now! It's our 2nd wedding anniversary on monday so I would be over trhe moon if this were to be our month!
