Congratulations Pookie, all the best for the coming months.:j
Nickynoo08 have you done a test at all yet? ov tests can be used as pregnancy tests because the pregnancy and ovulation hormones are virtually identical. So it could be that the ov test is reading positive for pregnancy hormones?0 -
[I came of AF last Thusday and we have been ttc only since then, however today at work I went to the toilet and noticed a few flecks of bright red blood.(tmi?)
[/quote]
Daisychain, I came off the pill at the start of the year and had some spotting for a day or so about six days after the end of my Af during my first cycle. I don't know what caused it so can't really help but if the blood was bright red then it prob isn't leftover AF as old blood is brown. Maybe just your body adjusting to being off the pill?0 -
Hi folks
Congrats to Pookie and anyone else who has a BFP that I missed.
Well its CD13 for me today - according to a couple of charts i have looked at my 'open window' is from tomorrow to next thursday. Guess I know what we will be doing this weekend   Fortunately my cold has cleared up and although I am still a bit tired its better than the snotty grotty I was last weekend.
Good luck to all and hoping to see some more BFP0 -
Has anyone used the HPT you can buy on ebay where you buy 10 for under £2 + P & P? The ones that are just a paper strip & come in a white packet with blue writing, are they any good & easy to use, I have always used the ones that cost a fortune from the chemists or supermarket.
I have just bought some, they claim that they can be used very early, are they reliable & how early is early?0 -
Thank you Rose, I knew it was too early to be anything exciting! but having not had a break from the pill in years I have no idea what to expect.
Morning Natalie, I can't help you I'm afraid as I am new to this but I have read posts on loads of women getting them from Ebay and been correct, so may be worth a shot!
Hope everyone has a nice day and good luck to all those who are testing soon

Oh and bump due 3rd Dec 09' mummy to be for the first time :T0 -
I have just tried one of the early HPT that I got from ebay as my OH is convinced I am pregnant, I am on CD25 & on the result space got a very faint lilac coloured line, so I did 2 more & got the same result. Does anyone think that this could be a +ve result?
It has been 3 years since I have used HPT & wonder if the results have changed re using very early tests?0 -
Could it be that you have missed an AF and now would be about the time you would have ov'd if you had had AF? ( I don't know your cycle lengths so could be way off the mark)
I have missed a few AF's in my time but not many.
My cycle is usually around 28/30days (currently on cd40 maybe) so yes this is v v long for me. I'd thought of that but i've had no spotting or anything at all, but looking at the dates if i had had my af as usual i would now be on cd11 so ready to ov again so in a way that makes sense plus i've got what feels like my usual ov pains too.
Becs i did a pg test again this morn just to make sure and it was neg.
Thanks for your advice everyone.
Sound v good for you natalie. Fingers crossed hun x£387.39/£196.46

Very unusual to get a false positive, never mind 3, so fingers crossed Natalie!!:T
