Oh Leopardlady, that isn't what we all wanted to hear, poor you. Roll on the next week or so x

Nunnygirl, fingers crossed it *might* just be good news, so roll on your next update!

Welcome Daisychain, and happy BDing! It felt very different to me when we finally decided to TTC and I was amazed how quickly frustrated I found the 2WW, but you soon get in to the swing of things - and crossing your fingers every month! ;)

Sorry if I have missed any other news, I'm just too tired to take much more in this evening! I am now on CD6 and AF has finally let up, thank goodness. I didn't finish work until 3am and was back up and working at 9, so I'm shattered! I would say roll on the weekend, but OH will have me BDing all over it no doubt

    Oh, the things we do!!

My OH swears that I am going to get a BFP when I do a HPT at the end of the week because he says that I am in the same bad mood that I was when I got my BFP with DS - we had gone away on holiday for a week & I spent the whole week having tantrums & stand up fights in the street with him, came home & couldn't understand why, did a test & got a BFP.

I don't think he understands that being grounded with a broken leg in pot doesn't make you exactly sweetness & light.

Hi all. Sorry to hear about AF arriving Leopardlady. It makes me feel really down too, fingers crossed for next month.

    Welcome to Daisychain80 *waves*

Well I am still on 2WW, now on CD27/34 ish. Getting tempted to test as my boobs are still feeling quite full and sore. Would it be wahey to early to test at the moment?

Good Morning Ladies, just thought I would pop in and say Hi before I get ready for work :(, also just ask a few quick questions...................
I know it's our first month of trying and I am not expecting anything to happen soon after been on the pill for many years but my last AF was last Thursday so I am unsure when is the best "time" to try? and also this 2ww? at what point in the month is this? Please forgive my naiveness but I have no clue, Not that I am expecting anything so soon just quite curious :)

Good luck to all and extra special baby dust to all.

Good morning ladies! Good luck to all approaching their testing point...I'm on 6 DPO and I swear last night I was getting small sharp pains in my abdomen (very brief, but distinctive) - I don't want to read too much into things and get my hopes up, but of course I view those as a good sign! LOL, I'm so impatient but I refuse to test before 14 DPO b/c I don't want that depression of a BFN. All the stats point to the most success coming at around 14 DPO, so even though it's possible to get a BFP detected before that, I really don't want to put myself through that!

It's still early days, but really want to wish everyone good luck. What a roller coaster! I suppose the worst thought is knowing that even if we do everything 100% right, it's still only like a 1/5 chance every month of actually GETTING pregnant.

ANyway, this thread has been really helpful...good news on all the BFPs!!!

I too didn't expect much in the first few months of trying as I had been on the pill for well over 15 years when we started trying but I got pg in cycle 2 :D

The 2ww (2 week wait) is the 2 weeks between ovulating (oving) and AF ( Aunt flo, period) Your cycle might go straight to normal after being on the pill but also it might be a bit erratic to start with. We have been trying for 5 years now and my periods still aren't bang on time every month. My cycle length is usually 30-33 days.

To calculate your cycle length, CD1 is the first day your AF starts, then you count the days from CD1 to the day the next AF starts. (the next CD1) I have been advised that if AF starts before midday that's CD1, if you start after midday you call the following day CD1.

Until you have a few cycles its hard to say exactly when the best time is because then you can work out the roughly the CD you could be oving. The best time to BD is the day or 2 before ov, the day of ov and the day after.

Without any cycle lengths to go by I'd say BD every couple of days for the first few months.
But most importanty stay relaxed about it all. Its when you start obsessing and getting stressed about it that things probably won't happen.

    Good luck

Ok i'm a tad confused. I'm currently on cd39 and yesterday just out of curiosity i tried on of my ov tests. It came back with 2 lines, 1 v faint. I read the instructions and it said to test again the next day so i did another this morn and the v faint line is now v much darker (according to the test i should be ready to ov in the next day or so). Can my cycle really be this long? and when will/should i have my next af? I'm totally lost now.
Just worked out dates and if we bd and i get pg i'll be due xmas week. Not wanting to sound awful but i really dont want another so close to xmas, think its coz i'm a summer baby.
