Oh Pookie, great news, many congratulations and fingers crossed for you x :j

Nickynoo, that does sound like a very long cycle - how long are yours usually? I wonder if you could be OV twice in one cycle, but I guess that would be mighty out of the ordinary, but I'm sure somebody more in the know will advise you better than me!

Any more BFPs to pop up I wonder this month? So to us all left behind, lets get busy and give Pookie and all BFPs some company! I'm only on CD7 but don't mind to start trying early ;)

Hope everybody is doing well on the run up to the weekend, hugs to all x

Ok i'm a tad confused. I'm currently on cd39 and yesterday just out of curiosity i tried on of my ov tests. It came back with 2 lines, 1 v faint. I read the instructions and it said to test again the next day so i did another this morn and the v faint line is now v much darker (according to the test i should be ready to ov in the next day or so). Can my cycle really be this long? and when will/should i have my next af? I'm totally lost now.
Just worked out dates and if we bd and i get pg i'll be due xmas week. Not wanting to sound awful but i really dont want another so close to xmas, think its coz i'm a summer baby.

Could it be that you have missed an AF and now would be about the time you would have ov'd if you had had AF? ( I don't know your cycle lengths so could be way off the mark)

I have missed a few AF's in my time but not many.

    Hello ladies!
    Hope you are all well?
I am wondering if you can help, it feels like I am pestering you all with my constant posting but................
I came of AF last Thusday and we have been ttc only since then, however today at work I went to the toilet and noticed a few flecks of bright red blood.(tmi?) Do you think this could be some "leftover" AF ? or is it something to do with coming of the pill for the first time in 6yrs? as this has never happend inbetween AF's before.

    WOW CONGRATS TO POOKIE........WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
    DFW AND OS'ER IN TRAINING!!:D

    Hello Everyone

I recently got unexpectedly pregnant at 40. It was a shock and a worry but we were starting to get used to the idea and even a little excited. Sadly I miscarried last week (week 8) and admittedly we felt a little relieved although disappointed too as we were starting to get used to the idea and find ways around the problems we anticipated we'd encounter. We already have three beautiful and healthy boys and so feel really greedy to be thinking now about the possibility of trying for another. We are always Mr and Mrs Sensible and so the idea of making a decision to actually try despite the risks goes against the grain. It happening by accident was a different matter. We won't rush into a decision and it feels too much like an emotional one at this time however the longer we leave it the greater the risks.

Anyway the reason I am posting is I wondered if there are any other 40 + on this thread and how did you make the decision to try for a baby? What helped you to make the decision?

    Good luck all.

I am 43 next week & am still hoping for another baby as my DS is 5 now, we have been trying almost since he was born as my OH was diagnosed with MS as he was born & was threatened with a Chemotherapy type treatment which would make him sterile. Thankfully he found another treatment that has helped him but we have still been trying for 5 years & keep on hoping that our day will come.

I had 2 m/c before I had our DS & have had 2 since but this hasn't put me off trying again, I suppose what's meant to be is meant to be, I know it doesn't make it any easier but it will all be worth it in the end.
