If you go to the top of Shields road with the shops and turn left at the big roundabout you will come to a mini roundabout at the top of Chillingham road. Turn right onto Shields road and Lidl is on the left past Siemens and the Bus depot.
It's possible eiamhere69 was refering to it being a regional offer and not available in the North-East? ('cause if it was I'd probably have been in the queue!)
"Only available from stores in the Midlands, Norfolk, Lincolnshire, the South West of England (except Gloucestershire and Hereford). Merseyside, the North West of England, North Wales, Yorkshire and Humberside. Check in store for availability."
PS. Metallifux - not another visitor from the MIT DG?

Get Sky+, well worth it. (Sky, when are you going to bring out a Sky+ box with built in DVD recording?)BE NICE - IT'S FREE!0 -
Our local Lidls (yes several of them) open at 08:00 weekdays.
Have a friend gone out to his local one (Balsall Heath) he got there at 07:40 first in the queue, at 07:50 there were several people behind wanting the same thing, at 07:55 they opened the store and is now in possession of 2, he is just waiting for the chap on the till to log on.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
timmo44 wrote:Yes you can record from Sky but you will have to leave your Sky box on the channel you want to record. For example you could not set the timer record for several programmes on different channels as the recorder has no way of changing channels on the Sky box.

Have just had the full rundown of the situation, first I thought my friend said he had managed to get three machines, what it was is there were only 3 machines available for sale!
He got two, one for me and one for himself, and the guy behind him in the queue got one. The person who worked on the till had already taken one off sale for himself.
There were none of the £129.99 (non-HDD) versions available - not that we wanted those ones. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... My mates DVD recorder apparrently has this feature built in so it must recognise the signal coming through on one of the scart pins. Not sure if this is a standard feature on all DVD recorders though.

Been to Lidl this morning as they opened the door - there was a queue of about 30 people all trying to get one of the three, yes three DVD hard disk recorders at £149.99 which from reading previous posts seems typical. Seems to me like a bit of a ploy to create discussion, promote Lidl's name and get people into the shop. Myself, I feel conned. Maybe different elsewhere, but I doubt it. I'll be shopping at Aldi now.0

Went to the one in Farnworth and on Crompton Way in Bolton, nothing!!!. The guy that worked there said something like they only had 4 per store or something like that. Shame. Picked up the wireless headphones for the Kids PC.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0
