I emailed Hatton garden metals twice regarding an unwanted diamond ring, but they didn't reply to either of my messages :-(

You could try putting it on Ebay, jewellery are sailing off there at the minute

Just sent off some gold to https://www.goldbuyers.co.uk
It was a broken chain, st christopher, sleeper earring (all 9ct gold) along with an antique diamond trilogy ring, 18ct gold / platinum. They offered me just £40.95!!
At first I assumed that was just the quote for the 9ct gold pieces, but when I emailed them to clarify if they included the ring in the offer they did not reply.
I declined the offer (on the assumption it was the total offer) and am now waiting for them to return my jewellery.
It's nice to be important.....but it's more important to be nice :)

Hi, didnt want to start a new thread but has anyone tried "PostalGold" for sending off their unwanted gold?
Saw the tv advert and wondered if I should try it?
I have two gold/saphire rings, my wedding ring and my engagement ring, honestly I just want them gone (divorced now so only hold bad memories) but cash for them would be nice :)

I sent some bits to We Buy Gold, I sent themmon the Friday and the money was in my bank by the Tuesday. I think they offer less than the companies that state 'we offer £x per gram' but their customer service was fantastic.

My Dad then sent his Gold off, he was made an offer, he said that he expected a little more and was given more!

Whether you are in a tight financial place or you want to make sure that you don't get there, take some time to think about turning old gold into new cash with programs! With the economic times being what they are, more and more people are considering the gold that they never wear, the big clunky pieces that just wait at the bottom of the jewelry box. You may be sitting on something that is closer to a gold mine than you know, and as the price of gold is skyrocketing, now is the time to get on board!

Please - if you have gold to sell - go to your local independent jewellers first. A friend of mine works at one and they have a regular buyer for their scrap gold. Gold prices vary from day to day. Have a look at this before you go to them:

Look at the scrap price. Remember that the jewellers will want to make a bit on it so they might not give you this exact price but you should get something within reason.

My friend said that they recently paid someone £180 for some scrap that the customer had previously been offered £35 for .
    Hope this helps,

Previously i took my items to several high street places all offered me nowhere near what the internet could provide.

I have dealt with Hatton Garden metals a couple of times and I will continue to go with this company.

If you've tried contacting them by e mail and got nothing, then give them a call!!!
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

My experience of Hatton Garden was superb, I received £1,365.00 with 24 hours of them receiving my package. At the time they had the best online rate per gram.

After reading the posts, I decided to go with Hatton Metals & I was very pleased with the service.

Sent special delivery the items at 4.30pm on Wednesday. Email received at 11.30am on Thursday giving me exactly the amount I expected & the money was in my account by the end of the Thursday.

Thats what I call excellent service. Simple, efficent & trustworthy.:T
