Hope it gets sorted for you. Haven't had that kind of problem before. How do you get it claim it back through Paypal?

Just put some more cds on Amazon - one went and sold 3 minutes later.
    WOW!!!!:j

    Well done!
What kind of CDs and prices? I have several hundred and still can't work out whether to sell them for pennies on Magpie or try Amazon and Play.

  • Hi Floxxie

That cd sold for about £8 so after posting and charges - 10p padded envelope and 66p second class, I will clear just over £6.50.It was MOR American 1980's rock. I originally imported it about 10 years ago for roughly the same cost.

My best was a cd single - after all charges, about £14!!!

I checked the cds that I had grown out of:rotfl: , against the currrent amazon marketplace listings. If they were asking more that £1.50, I listed mine. Anything else is in a large pile.
I try to make mine the lowest price. I would rather they sold that wait it out for an extra 20p!!

Any suggestions on what to do the cheap pile? What are Play and Magpie like?

    or...does anyone fancy a cd swishing party:rotfl:

no floxxie it has never happened b4. i just recieved a msg from ebay to say dont send payment but by that stage i already had:mad: . they said the sellers account had been used without their knowledge so all listings & sales had been cancelled. i have to wait 10 days until i can contact ebay to say the item never arrived! nightmare!!!

so hopefully i should get the full amount back without any hassle!

not doin so bad with my own listings - even managed to list a few things for my mum - she has her own ebay account but only uses it to buy - so i have to list the items she wants to sell - god love her! she is only in her forties but doesn't have a notion about anything computer or internet related lol!! sori - shouldn't poke fun!!:rotfl:

Just popping on very quickly as I have promised myself not to spend every evening reading the posts on MSE. Have set myself a target of 280 items on eBay by end of the month - have put loads of books on Amazon and GreenMet but not going to include them.

Have got a bit down about chaos around the house and the enormous o/d and then sat here thinking that the money I need is sat in my bl**dy home!!

Will catch up later in the week. Hope everything is going ok - quick look through suggests it is - had better disappear now before I tell myself off :rotfl:

I've sold a camera lens for £570 today and the buyer is collecting in person and paying cash, so no Paypal fees.
I bought it a year ago in New York for £500. :D
Also sold a camera body for £240, and some other minor bits of junk.

I've not used them for a good while, so I've decided to get rid and buy a a decent spec compact, because I use my compact all the time as its size means I always have it with me.

I also sold some car mats, another handbag that I got as a birthday present and didn't want and a camera bag.

The auctions ended whilst I was at work this evening doing some overtime, so I took my netbook with me so that I could check how the auctions were doing on my break.

I've still got another 4 photographic items to sell which I will list with another 11 items on Tuesday, while the carpet fitters are re-fitting the stairway carpet.

    uzubairu, congratulations!

Wow the stuff you have lying about must be worth a small fortune.

Talking of camera equipment, my late father-in-law left a fair amount of camera stuff and I need to sell it. Any suggestions of where I can go to see if it is worth anything (he died 12 years ago so we are talking of older models)

cc - what a bargain break. It must just be me; I always seem to pay full whack for everything. Must try harder!

I'm so proud of all you guys who are still doing this. I admit, I gave up ages ago. But I've got a new 'business partner' who is listing about 10 items a day, so I'm getting back on target (the lazy way!).

I have also, however, just spent nearly £50 - FIFTY QUID! - on some Disney cars for my son. Got carried away. Do I look as though I'm flippin loaded?!

i must admit i do end up buying a few items on ebay!! i am doing a bit better with a few items i have on - plus i am listing a lot for my friend and getting 25% of the total profits each month - think im being robbed with this cut lol!

i did get a few 'well worn' items listed - ten in total - all ending 2day and 3 have bids - inc my worn slippers with £8.50 so far!! can't believe it!!

how is everyone else getting on?

i have also booked another holiday (london in paril then tenerife in december!) so need to keep myself motivated & also if i can make enough on a regular basis through ebay - might join weightwatchers again to shift this extra stone or so!!
