Not really doing much ebaying, got demotivated, put 30 things on, since the new year, only manage to sell 7, didn't really make much profit, with ebay and paypal taking their cut, got really down about it!
but manage to put 3 things on this week, ending today and got bids on all 3:D
Well worn slippers for £8.50:T well done credit crunch
i got some 'well worn' flip flops in the back of cupboard.....Mmmmm...:rotfl:0 -

i did get a few 'well worn' items listed - ten in total - all ending 2day and 3 have bids - inc my worn slippers with £8.50 so far!! can't believe it!!
how is everyone else getting on?
i have also booked another holiday (london in paril then tenerife in december!) so need to keep myself motivated & also if i can make enough on a regular basis through ebay - might join weightwatchers again to shift this extra stone or so!!
If it helps you with the bartering with your friend, I'm paying 50% of profit to my friend who's listing, which is roughly 25% of sales. She's doing loads and loads of work for that though as a lot of it is quite complicated lists.0 -
thanks pandapaws - i was thinking even if she splits 50/50 with me & i pay any postage? i only have 9 items listed for her this week - but think she has made around £100 (thats before my cut& postage) so not too bad!
lexx put the well worn flip flops on!! i would be pretty sure they will sell!! out of my 10 well worn items i listed - 4 sold totalling around £15 before postage! doesn't sound like much but they would have only been goin in the bin!
also sold my boyfriends old phone 2nite - for £47.50 plus p&p. it was scratched & had dents but some1 obviously has a use for it! also sold an opened bottle of chanel no.5 perfume to a lady in spain for £45.50 plus p&p so have done reali well this week! Long may it continue lol!!:T0 -
That's great going cc!
My eBay hasn't been so successful but then somebody came along and bought most of my magazines. It's not for a great deal but at least there is a little freed-up space in a corner.
Big eBaying session this weekend. Didn't quite make the 280 items for Feb as I managed to delete my Auctiva templates and can't be bothered to put them on again but will find the time before Friday evening to redo them. Who knows might get to my target on Saturday?
Have managed to put on over 500 books on Amazon and Greenmet. Sold only 4 this week but will continue putting them on. Somebody must want them!
Still no progress with getting rid of my CDs. As MusicMagpie requires the CDs to be in top condition, I am going to have to listen to them through and I couldn't bear it with the some of them. Has anybody else done this or have you just sent them?
Well done PP on getting soembody else to do the work. Unfortunately I tend to be the person that gets given the task of listing so must make sure I refuse any future 'work' as I cannot be bothered with my own stuff, let alone somebody elses.
Hope everybody else is ok.

Does it say what categories? - Might have to fire TurboLister etc up again around that time and get rid of some of the missus junk0 -
OK:j
i feel a major listing day coming on.
Seems like ebay will still make the money back if it sells, with the finalvalue fee going up to 10%
But at least you dont lose money on 99p stuff when it doesn't sell.
Was this what ebay was like b4?
Any old ebayers remember what the fees were?0 -
Oooh thanks Soolin,
I was about to relist some cr*p yet again but will wait now until March 12th. Will have to get more expensive stuff on now.
I should remember what the figures were years ago but can't except that you felt that eBay weren't taking the pi** and you actually came out with decent profit. I can also remember there appeared to be a lot more buyers, especially overseas ones.
