    Dudes,

There is a post on the other thread talking about Joeys - thought my question was more appropriate here.

What in the name of all things Holy is a Joey.

Can some kind Dude give me a step-by-step guide on what I should do with my Joey, if I ever find out what it is and get me some ;)

    Cheers

got my first r +r today at becton extra store, joint of topside british beef, sel £5.98kilo
    packet price, £6.22 kilo.
cs said i had not been over charged as price on pack was the same as the receipt.
i tried to explain the difference in kilos but was told i was stupid!!!!!. eventually after waiting over 10 minutes she walked towards meat section, i followed to show her and she said she wasn't going there as she was right. i made her look she couldn't understand what i was saying and told me to "stop being silly, take a tablet man". i was gobsmacked!!! she walked off. went back to cs desk meat manager turned up, showed him the sel and he agreed i was over charged. As we returned to cs desk a massive arguement had broken out between my frined and 2 cs ladies as the first one had returned and started slagging me off to the other cs lady forgetting my friend was standing there. saying things like "we were only trying to screw tesco for a fiver" etc.
friend and cs had massive row with F, C and B words included, had to calm her down, said to meat manger your staff arent very polite, as cs lady walked off.
anyway we both got r+r, although not sure if it was worth the aggro. i made a point of not being rude but instead got a load of abbuse. have complained to head office.
if you live in east london go to beckton and get the beef.
anyway at least i got my r+r

went back today to see cs manager, gave me £10 to say sorry.
also found ps2 game shadow the hedgehog sel 17.97 charged 19.97 got r+r.

A Joey is a £3 off the dvd of the first series of Joey - tis a tv programme, with the guy from friends in it! Anyhow, these have been on a variety of Nestle cereals for the last few months, the cereal costs less than £3 , and is sometimes on BOGOF.
So , you find a box of the cereal with ithe voucher on ,buy it, then next time you shop, use your £3 voucher against your total shopping bill ( ie you don't have to buy the dvd to get the discount - the shop just has to sell the dvd). And voila -your shopping bill is reduced!
Tesco and asda will both take these, though some assistants will be funny if you try to use too many coupons in one go without buying the item, just use them in moderation and you should be fine. :)

'Joeys' are £3 money off coupons which were on lots of Nestle cereal packs in Tesco/Asda last year. They are called Joeys because they were for money off the Joey TV series DVDs. Apparently some have surfaced in Somerfields lately, according to various posts on here.

    Hope this helps!

I tried at Bury today for the x-box games and was offered the difference.

When I questioned that I was shortly greeted by the CS manager who`s first words were "Hello Sir, You had some steak the other day didn`t you?"
to which I replied "It was lamb & it was very nice thank you"

Anyway he wouldn`t do the R+R saying the store manager would only offer the difference. I argued the point that he was removing the poster and that the poster had the incorrect information on - which he agreed - got HO number off him and rang them but.......

HO rang back saying that the poster indicated that they sold X-box games at under that price but they also sold them over it and it only related to the top 15. I said the games were in the top 15 but still got no joy. She said the manager`s desicion was final and she hadn`t seen the poster.

so I got blown out on that one. :o

I have also noticed these new yellow reductions in North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, North Lincs, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, although they missed out the serloin steak at one store last night.

PS: Can I take all people on here to court if all this free food makes me obese???

Thats really unlucky. I have sent my brother to try and buy the same games for himself. I will let you know how he gets on.

Whilst in Tesco just now I picked up a couple of mispriced packs of Sirloin steaks. Following behind me was a member of staff fixing yellow labels all over the meat section. The labels read:

    "Customer Information

    Unit price is used as
    a guide only"

She must have fixed around 20 of these on the one aisle.

I asked her what it meant and she said it meant that the prices were a guide only. I asked again what that actually meant and she said that the price you pay is the price on the label. I asked her why have the SEL's then and she became very agitated and marched off!

Think this means the end of the road for R+R on mispriced meat...

I'd like to see them argue that with Trading Standards. You can't possibly issue "guide prices" like this - if you're selling by weight, then, surely, the price per kg charged has to be the lowest price shown.

Anyone here got any a realistic leagal standing regarding this?
