How useful / up to date is the cpjackson list?0 -
Good luck. It is very patchy- some stores have some of the lines, some don't.Some are really well organised and check all their offer prices, which is good, but not so good for bargains... Some are friendly , others more hostile. Take the HO number ( earlier in the thread), but they are usually ok, especially if they don't recognise you!! As far as the cds etc go remember that the day after they change over the offers ( a Monday) is best.0

I have some newb questions:alexfletcher wrote:Was priced on the stand at £199, but DVD case thing with the price & spec on scanned at £159.97 (which is the price of the 6 gigabyte version). So saved £40. Unfortunately I can't claim it for free(?)
Why couldn't Alex get this free?
Also, if you see something mispriced, say a pack of biscuits is 20p to much, can you stick 100 in your trolley and get the lot for free?0 -

The policy for r&r says if you were overcharged then you can get a refund and keep the product. In this case alex was not overcharged as it said it was £199 yet he was charged £159.97 so in actual fact he was undercharged!Pound wrote:Also, if you see something mispriced, say a pack of biscuits is 20p to much, can you stick 100 in your trolley and get the lot for free?
If i'm not mistaken, i think that you are limted to purchasing 6 to be counted as a normal consumer and be able to use the r&r policy. if you purchase more than 6 than the r&r policy will not apply to you. (they may think you are a trader)

I zeem to get constantly overcharged for fruit/veg. It's never down to misleading advertising, but checkout operators keep tapping in the wrong codes!
For example, yesterday I bought some Pink Lady apples which were 75p/kg (reduced) and the till operator put in the code for Golden Delicious (about £1.03/kg). I had bought 2kg so was charged £2.06 instead of £1.50.
Fortunately I had only bought a couple of items so it was easy to spot that i'd been overcharged, but you have to wonder how many times these kind of mistakes happen and don't get spotted...0 -
I had that happen to me with apples too - I went straight to CS and said that the till monkey had screwed up so i'd been overcharged, and got an R&R on itIt's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
I had similar thing last week but was only given the difference back because r&r doesn't apply when it's a cashier error, or so I was told0

If you read the poster in store, it clearly says that if we (tesco) overcharge you (no matter how) then you are entitled to a refund and to keep the product. Overcharge means more than you should have paid. The fact a cashier input your apples as another brand is irrelevant, they should have cost 1.50 and you were charged 2.06. This is an overcharge. If you don't stand your ground with some CS then they will try and pull the wool over your eyes. Stand firm and be polite but insistent. Ask them the question 'How much is this item?' then 'How much was I charged?'.0

Went to Stockport Extra store today - they seem to be a bit switched on regarding CDs and DVDs - they didn't have posters up and everything had correct SEL (as in the SEL was showing what everyone has said they are scanning at) - even the PS2 game the New York one with a SEL of £22.97 (which it scanned at).
I did get the fairy princess and ballerina books (still mispriced) and left a few on the shelf.AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0024 come and join us :hello: make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the Ebay and other auctions, Car Boot and Jumble Sales Board0 -

I noticed this myself today too Bella! I think it was the beginning of October when I first posted these misprices after genuinely buying the books for my daughter. It makes my blood boil that Tesco couldnt care less that they are over charging customers every day with hundreds of people making them aware of their misprices - but they only seem to rectrify the ones that would impact their profits.
We got a £140 telly on r&r today which is of consolation to us, but it still makes me fume that they knowingly overcharge every day :mad:0
