  • I've joked in the past about starting my new website, https://www.moneygrabbingexpert.com - but worried that I'd upset martin because the majority of people here would probably feel more at home.

  • why is everyone getting so irate about saving from tesco's? i had had the ocassional misprice and staff have given me a hard time.

i think tesco should either withdraw their policy all together or stop overcharging the millions of people that visit their stores everyday.

personally I have shopped at tesco's for years and i pretty pi**ed off that they overcharge people and dont rectify labels.

    it is there own fault..

WHY are you still reading this thread? You've made your point about 900 times, if it upsets you this much, read another thread? Plenty of people see it from another point of view, why don't you just leave them to it? I don't think there's anything wrong with making Tesco sharpen up on their overcharging, and with £2bn annual net profit it's hardly going to bankrupt them is it...

    Jamminjamaica - I agree. Hokers - THANK-YOU

Personally I joined these forums 2 weeks ago, got my very first mis-price deal yesterday. Posted in the mispriced thread for the benefit of others, loads of stock at Tesco's for others; and got flamed for asking a question on Tesco's policy.

Personally I am very happy for everyone that gets a great deal out of a Tesco's mis-price. Our household spend thousands of pounds with them through a variety of their stores / affiliates each year, and to get a little something back yesterday felt quite good, unlike the comments I received in this thread.

Each to their own. Merry Christmas :-) :xmastree:

I've just bought today 2 organic whole chickens which had a big yellow SEL stating £4.49KG. The pack price was £4.99KG. I had spotted that the yellow sign had an expiry date of 17/12/05 but obviously they hadn't taken it down.

I decided to take a chance and was ready for a bit of a wrangle with CS, but I had no problems whatsoever. The CS lady even said the expiry date was 17/12/05 and without hesitation offered me full R&R. I am just posting this as I have read in the past that other stores have argued that the said offer had expired and refused a full refund.

That's Xmas Day and Boxing Day meals sorted (no intensively reared turkeys for us!).

    Thanks Mr T.

My local tesco seems to get around the misprices by leaving the higher SEL on but the packs show reduced prices!! Do you think they are catching on?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Price integrity is being carefully checked locally at last. My big shop yesterday had no misprices at all.

    1st time in 6 months mind you...

Is every store able to make their rules up about coupon spend? I know there have been lots of posts about this in the past but my local Tesco seem to change thier mind on regular basis. At the weekend it was 10% ( if not buying the product), last night it was 1 coupon as a good will gesture. If you ask for a cs they always seem to back up their staff no matter what.
I only shop at Tesco to use my coupons so if this continues I'll go back to Asda which is a much nicer store.

Can i agree with the last post about your comments and also add that tescos have been overchaging me for years(only started checking my reciept & noticing since this site!). when i went for my first refund on an over price they wouldnt stand by their policy (which they shouldnt state if they cant uphold it!).I gave up so they won again.
ive had jam doughnuts in with no jam in, ive had tie up bin liners that tie ups broke every time, gone off chicken, mouldy bread before sell by date and many more inferior products that i havent returned but just accepted.
joined there dvd club .I never got the dvds i wanted so i sent them back 2 days before my next billing date.they recieved in time but still charged me £15 and wont give it back. Also overcharged on my car insurance with them..they got away with it.Had tesco credit card which they earnt a lot of nice large interest from me.
Tesco well & truly owe me & a lot of other people & there 2 faced way of making out that they are all for the consumer & will HAPPILY refund & replace is total pants! They often make these people feel like criminals. So they are not money grabbers as we nearly all have a lot of respect for small companies who make errors in prices etc but tesco are just paying back to these people what they owe.......i dont see tesco going bankrupt just yet do you!????????

I must comment that if i was a customer of a company that consistantly treated me in the way that you have described then they would soon lose my custom. One can therefore only assume that you either have an exceptionally high tolerance level or your post has a level of exageration. Either way, it is your choice to use tesco for all of the services that you have mentioned both in the past and in the future.
