Local papers love this sort of thing, especially against someone big like Mr T
Good luck :snow_grin
Are you kidding? Would have to be a quiet news day to reach the front page let alone making the paper at all.
While it sounds like the poster in question did get treated badly, why on earth did they divulge that they worked for Tesco? I can't see what this would have achieved apart from possibly getting themselves in trouble.0 -
Hi thanks every1 for replies. I have written to the local paper. BTW the store knew I worked for Tesco, but what would that have to do with it? How could this get me in trouble?
Many thanks0 -
Healthy eating lemon sole fillets - SEL states £10.99/kg £5.98/lb but the pack price had £10.99/kg £5.99/lb, so technically a mis-price in lbs but not kgs, I guess it was due to a rounding error, but mis-price or not?0

I probably wouldn't try that one, I think the lb price is there for info only and the pack shows the kg weight only - so that is what is used to calculate the pack price.0 -

In my opinion I would wait to see your store manager, tell him the other store tried to rip you off as tesco policy (backed up by this sites postings and the excellent Jackson site) let him sack you if he has the balls. Then see a solicitor or citizen’s advice and claim unfair dismissal. Then go to a national paper with a real story, are Tescos saying they can steal from employees? As well as us scum customers. (as we are treated when asking for a refund)
Good luck, let us know what happens either way as I am sure many people will be interested.
BTW you probably have a company handbook with the rules so refer to that first.

Just thought I'd post about my experience. I follow these boards but have never taken advantage of an overcharge as most of the things I don't want or need. Tonight I got a Kelly Clarkson cd for a friend of mine and was overcharged. I queued for ages and when I got seen to the lady behind the desk was so snippy and looked at me as if I'd just asked her what kind of panties she had on! :rotfl:
She disappeared for ages and I was sure she'd be changing the SEL but she came back and refunded it without me having to ask. She didn't look amused though and didn't say bye to me.
Was well impressed with my R+R though, was a very pleasant surprise! :xmastree:0 -
hambrook wrote:First off a big thank-you for all the mis-priced posts. Only been on the forums a couple of weeks and over past 24 hours have managed to grab £60 of mis-priced beef (4 packs in total) from two branches of Tesco's.
Now I know this is really good and you can't beat the feeling walking away from the CS desk, but my question is as follows:
After getting the mis-priced items refunded the receipts are updated by pen and marked as refunded, but is there anyway I can take a product back without a receipt and get some kind of in store credit?
I know this is incredibly cheeky, but there's is only so much a freezer can take!0 -

You're right it is incredibly cheeky, why don't you just take what you need or leave it for other shoppers to purchase, it is after all wasting the life of an animal if you don't feel you need it. I'm no veggie by the way but feel this is just being greedy.0 -
