I`ve seen this website who specialise in laptops and feature a massive range of them, that are really easy to navigate. I have now bought a proper laptop and also one of these small netbooks from them and they delivered perfect service on each occaision.

Here you can look at quite a comprehensive list from a number of different makes.

    :) Happy shopping x

Tesco are doing the 512mb/8gb Acer Aspire for £199 and the 1gb/120gb model for £244. I bought mine from the Newport store and I am very happy with it.

I'm a mature student and very interested in getting one of these as I've recently started a college course and it would be useful for me to get one so I can work somewhere quiet away from my 3 year old! I would mainly use it for word processing, occasional browsing and email. Which would be the best one to get bearing in mind I'm a fast touch-typist (so the keyboard would need to be good) and I would like long battery life?

    Rule breaking post..

I think you should edit out what you've put there, it's a clear breach of the site rules and not something that should be encouraged

You need an external USB CD/DVD drive to do it, then it's just a case of changing a setting in the BIOS to enable you to boot from the CD. After that, it's just like any other installation of Windows..

My internet banking works fine with Firefox running under Linux.

Minerva, the Acer Aspire has the best keyboard according to the reviews. Bear in mind tho that if you are going to work on it at home you can plug a normal usb keyboard in to make it even easier to use. For use away from home / mains certain Asus EEE PC models lead the way in battery life - lasting close to 5 horus between charges.
