For the same price I would choose the Acer with the Atom processor which appears give better performance than the Celeron in the ASUS.

Forgot to mention it's a 1.6Ghz CPU, 1GB of Memory, 80GB Hard Disk and has a 10.2" screen as well - its a clone of the MSI Wind Netbook and there is a lot of information out there about them.

Amazon now doing the Aspire One A110 for £172.40 delivered. I guess the funny price is due to the VAT decrease.

Help! This is my first forray into posting and/or replying to posts/threads so I hope I'm doing it right. I have a 13 year old daughter who's desperate for a notebook for Christmas, but it has to be pink! Any suggestions, please? I'm thinking of spending £250-£300 max.

Can anyone tell me exactly what a netbook is? I'm thinking of buying one for my brother? All he wants is something so he can get internet access, would this be any good?
