Anyone close their Icesave - money in Limbo

I just hope that these limbo accounts are not overlooked by the FSCS when they send out there claim forms...

I withdrew most of my money from Ice save accounts on Monday evening leaving a small amount in each account. Tueasay the money was showing as having been removed. Today the money is back in the accounts credited as a "correction" At least its no longer in the limbo of cyberspace. Intersestingly enough interest due today has been credited to accounts. One of the accounts I tried to remove funds from is an Isa. Will be interesting to see if interest is paid on this in the event of a compensation claim.
The Icesave webpage today has a link to the treasurey statment on compensation. I'm fairly optimistic aout the outcome apart from the hassle .

Daughter and son in law have just received money back in their account.
Withdrew it Tues 8am and now back as a correction!

Another one here. Withdrew most on Sunday via BACS. It said processed on Tuesday and has now been reposted.


I've downloaded all the web pages with my details should I need them. I can still log in. Do you think if I deposited ten million they may see me as a favourable customer or will the Russian pay me a visit?

I too closed account after tranferring Tuesday am. I phoned this evening (no problem getting through) and spoke to a lovely Geordie man who told me my funds were back. He actually quoted more than I transferred but we worked out that this included additional interest. This gave me some reassurance that they aren't kidding us on!

He put me on hold while he contacted IT to see if he could get me logged on.
When he came back he advised that they were working on it and it shouldn't be too long but unable to say whether access would be available today/tomorrow or later.
He also said that there were thousands in same position whose accounts were closed and the IT people were working hard to get them all up and running again. He even offered to keep an eye on my account and phone me when it was opened up again.

Hope this helps for those of you in same position and don't worry if you can't get print out as this is for your info so that you know how much is in your account. It wouldn't be accepted as evidence of a claim.

My savings account is still in limboland as of this morning

Mine too. I did a CHAPS transfer on Monday afternoon, which never arrived. A nice lady at the call centre told me yesterday that it might be the end of the week before I can log in and access the account. She assured me that she can "see" the money is back in my ICESAVE account.

I closed savings on Tueday before 8am by chaps yesterday they told me that funds were there and would be able to log in this morning -just have and savings account there but shows balance of £0.00 now I am worried re my 10,500 !
