Anyone close their Icesave - money in Limbo

I'm in this boat too.
I withdrew £3500 last Wednesday (the money hit my account on Monday) to put toward an ISA with another bank. I requested the remaining balance on Monday evening and in doing so, closed the account.
However the funds haven't hit my account nor can I login to Icesave, since I keep receiving the "The information you have supplied is incorrect" message. I gather this is because the account is now closed, but where is my money?
I've just tried calling them and gave up after 20+ minutes of waiting.0 -
My husband and myself did three transfers on Monday night, One Chaps, leaving a small amount in the account to cover the Chaps fee, (and they happened to put the interest in the next day, which kept the accout open), and two Bacs which closed the accounts.
On doing the final transactions the page said to print details as once the accounts were closed then you would no longer have access to details (so if you did this before closing your accounts you have proof for the FSCS).
When I contacted Icesave a few days ago about the payments which had left the accounts but gone into Limbo Land, I was told that the payments would bounce back and the accounts would be re-instated.
Last night (Wednesday), our account that still remained open had it's funds returned along with the Chaps fee returned, I can only assume the other two accounts are not yet re-instated as these were Bacs payments and will take a few more days.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -

yes yesterday they tols me that they could see the amount and had refunded the £30 chaps fee --but is not nice to see £0.00 in the account now.

My husband and I had the same message last night (Wednesday), if you did not totaly close the account you should be able to access the account as normal, but you will need to reset the password.
Enter the User Id & then click reset, it will give you a 5 letter code and almost straight away email you with a second 5 letter code.
Back on the login page enter your user ID and then the 10 letter code, this puts you into your login details where you choose a new password and you are th back into your account.
We both had to do this last night, and can once again view our accounts.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
Same situation.
I spoke to someone (who was really very helpful and sympathetic, given that she's soon going to be out of a job....) at Icesave yesterday who couldn't tell me whether my money was going to appear in my nominated account or back in Icesave. I transferred my easy access funds out on Saturday morning (but have a fixed rate bond there, so can still log in) but today was 4 days from the transfer and I have nothing in my nominated account, so I'm assuming it's being bounced back. However, nothing's showing in Icesave yet.
I was told that it's taking longer for the IT guys to remove all the blocks on the accounts that were closed as a result of withdrawing funds, so it may take until Friday to clear them all.
I requested a printed statement showing the money going out (STUPIDLY, didn't print this out on Saturday) but she said that this would also take a while, as there was a 'freeze' on all administration stuff.
Hate, hate, hate being in limbo. But now also extremely p*ssed off that if, as it says on the FSCS website, it may take up to 4 months to get our money back, I'm gonna loose out on my interest - and will I get my interest on the maturity of the fixed rate bond? I realise that this is a bit of a turnaround from the blind panic I felt on Tuesday and am obviously massively relieved (or wil be once I see my money back from the black hole) but I'll be absolutely furious if that's the case.0 -
i did three transfers monday evening, spoke with icesave tuesday afternoon, was told that the transfers would be ok as they had beeaten the cut of point and told not to worry. fine but my accounts show zero, and now the log in screen is saying i am putting in wrong information and account is blocked, tryed to contact icesave over 40 mins on phone got to speak to no one.
you would think that they could put a notice up saying just what is going on.0 -
I would recommend that all those concerned log on to icesave, view statement and PRINT. You may well need this to support your FSCA claim.0

If you are still able to access your account but receive this message "The information you have supplied is incorrect"
All you need to do is reset the password.

I do have copies of my accounts, but did hear the other day you don't need details but if you have them it will speed things up!Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
Meadows, it will not let me reset the password, it just keeps saying 'the information you have supplied is incorrect'.
It does not recognise my ID number, so I gess my money is STILL in limbo.
I closed my account on Monday night, stupidly thinking I'd get the money.
The worst thing about this is that my Mum gave me this money to look after for her, (£7000) as she is hopeless.
Who's hopeless now?0
