  • And me. Tried a CHAPS transfer first thing this morning (8am) and no sign of it on my account, though I appreciate it's very early on.

    Same as moneychump. KE even taken the CHAPS fee already.
  • Please add me to your list...CHAPS transfer 0945 Tues 7/10...Wed 8/10 1715, still not sent to linked account. Spoke twice with KE today and informed that money had been sent to their clearing Bank (Natwest) and that it would be processed ASAP...well see.

    You can add me to the list. I did a BACS on Monday night so would have gone out on the 7th. I'll start worrying if it's not there on Monday.

    Secondly, I may be way off the mark here, but has this only just been added to the account section in KE, or has it been there for a while and I've just not noticed.

    And another one here, exactly the same time, people have been told that it is Chaps overload so keep on hoping. At least ING have come to the rescue if there is a problem.

    I am in a slightly different boat. Entered the transfer request, got a confirmation and a t/x number, but the money is still sitting there. At least its not disappeared from KE and not appeared elsewhere - its still in KE.

    Me too! CHAPS done 7/10 11am - no sign in my account yet. Fingers crossed!

    On checking KE's details, the instructions said to call them on 08451313234 for closing the account, so I did just that yesterday around 6.00pm, by CHAPS. On checking today, I find that the account's still open. Does anyone know is you can close the account without actually ringing them? I've just spent the last hour and a half on the phone to find out why it wasn't actioned yesterday, but still haven't been answered (thank goodness I used their geographical number this time on 18185).

    To anyone who has NOT yet executed a withdrawal instruction, I would be VERY tempted to sit tight if I were you.

    ING looks like a safe home for your savings for the moment and perhaps the best option is to withdraw your money (if you want to) when it has formally been transfered over to ING.

    I don't mean to panic anybody, but I read this on another forum:

    "I transferred all of my KE savings out by CHAPS (same day transfer) on Tuesday morning (9am) and my KE account has shown the money has left the account. As of 5pm on Wed this cash has not arrived in my UK current account. This is worrying . After speaking to the FSCS, they have informed me that money in the process of being transferred is not covered under the compensation scheme. Obviously I cannot talk to KE as no one is speaking to customers ( the account is still showing the money has left) and the receiving bank tell me they can't help. Where has my money gone?

    All of you who have transferred money in the last couple of days check your accounts?"

    That being the case, I kindof wish I had not made my withdrawal request!

    Am not quite the same - CHAPS tranfer confirmed but money is still in account. Put request through 4pm Tuesday and money still there at 6pm Wed.
