I suppose the key question is this: is our money classed as KE funds or is it part of the UK business that is now in receivership (only KE deposits have been transferred to ING).

Anyone know or had clarification on this?

I requested a BACS payement on Monday and nothing has shown in my nimunated account as of yet. So I intially thought there aws a problem with my computer so I tried again from another computer, so I have tried withrading it a few times. This happened before I joined the forum and I have noticed I am not the only one in that predicament.

Does that mean that I will be charge a fee as I have tried several times to withdraw the whole lot of my money?

Hi, just registered to add myself to the list. Transfered 10k by CHAPS yesterday, early evening, Money has left KE, but no show in linked account.

We did a CHAPS transfer at 8 this morning, I have a transaction reference, but the money's still showing in KE.

Seems that we're all in the same boat, and all using the excuse of a CHAPS backlog, but surely some of that backlog would have started filtering through by this time?

Has anyone reading this forum actually had a successful transfer? If so, when was it requested, and how long did it take?

I don't really know how this scheme works, so are there any banking insiders here who could throw some light? Isle of Man keeps being mentioned. Is this some sort of clearing arrangement? Anybody from there able to comment?

It appears from reading the thread, that a lot of people started withdrawing around 11am on Tuesday (as I did), and presumably none of us have received anything. Anybody from earlier on Tuesday, or Monday anytime been successful?

Can anyone else confirm that money in the process of being transferred is not covered? I transferred 13k and it's stuck somewhere

Initiated a CHAPS transfer at 10:30am on Tuesday, still no sign of my money as of 19:00 Wednesday.

Have just spoken to KE (after two and a half hours waiting), and was told that the cancellation I requested yesterday has only been sent to their HO, not implemented, and as we know, since then, the administrators have been called in. Although, surprisingly, I can still log on, my account statement shows the account as being open, however, theirs shows a closure request. This means that no interest will be earned on the balance from the date of closure request. They can not give any time scale as to when the transaction will go through, if at all. When I asked why they can not continue to operate if ING have taken over their deposits (as B&B have done following their takeover by Abbey), they could not explain why. I asked if it was possible to cancel the cancellation request, and was told that it is, but they didn't know whether or not the cancellation of the request would be actioned anyway. Didn't what to do, so just left it as it was and keep my fingers crossed.

I initiated the CHAPS transfer around 9:30am yesterday (Tuesday) -still nothing

I also made a BACs transfer - effectively Monday first thing (actually at the weekend) - so if the BACs payment doesn't turn up by tomorrow, then this CHAPS "backlog" is one lame excuse. It feels like some gate has been shut somewhere - and we're on the wrong side of it (people on the list )

I'm guessing that we're at the mercy of ING now - so it depends on how quickly they can sort out this mess
