I am not aware of any transfers requested from Oct 13th onwards being received. Anyone know anything different?
My request was made on the 12th (Sunday) so I guess that counts as the 13th in effect.
There may be something in your theory: perhaps they went all out to clear the backlog at the expense of providing service to new requests. Maybe the crap emails are just that - crap emails! Here's hoping!0 -
Seriously bad news here.
Just checked with First Direct, nothing in my account - advisor passed me through to the CHAPS area and NOTHING pending either.
They are F*C*ING taking the p!ss now!
Not that I'm sticking up for ING in any way , shape or form - but CHAPS payments are "instant" , same-day transactions - so just because FD said there's nothing showing , it doesn't mean it won't come in today....0 -
Katykay, do you have a link to the MF thread? I was reading one last week and now can't find it.
Thanks!

Monday morning and still no money in my linked account (CHAPS from 08/10). I do agree with one of the previous posters - if it's not in by the end of today the first priority would be to get ING to at least acknowledge that they owe me (and others) the money - at least we know that they are AWARE of it.
Is there an email address we can use to send details include a screenshot of our transactions page which shows the transfer of £XXX recorded (plus the £20 charge for CHAPS!) ? On the ING website I can only see phone numbers, not an email address but I may be missing something...0 -
This is really getting to me now. I feel physically sick and I've got awful knots in my stomach. I hate being lied to - or having the wool pulled over my eyes. All along I've tried not to panic but now I think we are living in a really stupid world at the moment.
I exchanged on a house last week, using my overdraft, believing the money was on the way..... I dread to think of the consequences if this money doesn't turn up in the next couple of days.
I strongly believe now is the time for action. We should have seen some nice pleasant postings of people receiving their chaps this morning. We were assured that they were all done on Friday and would hit our accounts today.
There is no way on the law of averages that all of us posting on this forum are by 'coincedence' part of the 5% of payments that didn't get through.
We are just being fobbed off and having the mickey taken out of us. Lets take action today.0 -
Folks
Check out the link below from the FSA website (if this hasn't already been posted). It looks to me like the FSCS has already kicked in and £2.5 bln has already been given to ING to secure the deposits - unless I'm mistaken?? The question is, where is the money? It's obviously not a case of ING holding out to check they're not getting ripped off by the transfer of KE deposits, as the UK govt has effectively underwritten it.

Good luck to everyone trying to get their money back!0 -
Is it not time to report this to the Police? OK, I'm sounding desperate here - but how much more are we all prepared to listen to?
Is it time to come crashing down on ING? We could agree a Police Station in the City (Or Reading?) and basically report them for financial irregularities?
I'm surprised a few people are saying "lets wait and see" How long has our money been missing exactly now? And people are STILL willing to allow them more time?
As it took them 3 weeks to visit a victim, who had the buglers in the house when they dialled 999, I wouldn’t hold your breath.0 -
Good morning everyone.
This has to be it now, no money into my linked FD account, I cannot wait any longer, this is becoming too frustrating.
And between IceSave and KE/ING I am £ 27,500 short, which is ALL of my savings gone into a black hole.
It is time to join forces and do something really decisive about it.
Where shall we start?
I am open to suggestions.

It was supposed to be here FRIDAY!!!!!0 -
I also received this email.
I requested a large BACS transfer on October 8th which was received into my linked account at HSBC on Friday afternoon (by CHAPS I think).
However, on October 15th I requested a BACS transfer of £5 just to see if the system was still working. I think this is the reason why I got the email from ING as several people on the Motley Fool board who also received this email had tried to make transfers after ING took over.
I am not aware of any transfers requested from Oct 13th onwards being received. Anyone know anything different?
My transfer was requested on October 11th and I also got this email. It does appear that only those who requested transfers after the 11th are in the 5% awaiting manual transfers. It would be interesting to see if anyone does know different.BACS 11/10/08 TO RBS
RECEIVED MONEY 22/10/08 YAHOO
Thanks to all on forum for support over the past week.0
