All things being normal tomorrow 90% of us here should have their money. I don't think ING are going to scam us.0

Hot Press:
"ING, the Dutch savings bank which has more than a million savers in the UK, is to get a €10bn capital injection from the Netherlands authorities, the latest bank to be affected by the global credit crisis."
This is the spin tomorrw's Guardian is putting on ING's cash injection.

Oh dear. Somehow I think that Ing's BACS/CHAPS department is going to be busy over the next few days.
There is no point in worrying unnecessarily, ING are unlikely to collapse. If the worst comes to worst, our problem will be referred back to the FSCS. If the 95% figure is to be believed, they will already have paid out Billions of pounds and they’re not going to blot their copybook by failing on the last few Million.
Everybody I believe we are very close to a solution. Just hang in there for one more day.0 -

Todays ING staement on their website states:
'We also confirmed that there was a small group of payments that would take longer to process. ING Direct continues to work with the Administrators of Kaupthing Edge to clear this remaining 5% of payments as quickly as possible.'
Taking into account my e-mail received today (see above post), it does seem to me that we are in that 5% and that we therefore will probably not be seeing our money tomorrow. The positive side of this is that it at least looks as if they have identified us at last!
Good luck all !!0 -
I just got this email from ING confirming late transaction;
"Dear Customer

Over the past week ING Direct has been working with the Administrators of Kaupthing Edge to clear a backlog of payment instructions that were not able to be completed when Kaupthing Edge encountered difficulties.
While we have now processed over 95% of these payments, I am sorry to inform you that we are still working on a number of manual payment instructions, including the withdrawal request that you have made.
I do understand that the continuing delay is frustrating and I wanted to reassure you that my team is working with the Administrators to resolve the outstanding payment issues.
I appreciate your continued patience and I will contact you again shortly to confirm when the payments will be made.
Yours sincerely"
So I don't think Monay will bring me my £34K (requested by BACS on 11th Oct).

If the money doesnt appear tomorrow I hope that Martin or someone else on the MSE team let us know that they are onto this. It seems strange that theres been no sign of anyone for a few days now. It would be nice to know that they are trying to get to the bottom of all this.0

Indeed - However, anyone with funds still remaining with KE - Now ING, then we don't come under the FSCS scheme!
Now that does worry me just a tad!
All these so called financial experts coming on here are urging everyone to stay calm, yet claim - rightly so, that these are unpresidented times & no one will know how the current situation world wide will pan out.....Shucks!!
I don't think that a run on ING would be the answer though, as this would just put added pressure on obviously limited resources
Time to explore the Dutch compensation schem now rather than later & what support we could expect form HM treasury I would assume......
I maybe way off the mark here, but in this current climate, you never know!Non illigitamus carborundum!!0 -
I am compiling an email to send to ING but can only find a phone number for KE problems. Does anyone have an email address?0

Those that have missing payments - check your email.
As mentioned above ly-ING are sending out emails advising possible delay.
