I just got this email from ING confirming late transaction;

"Dear Customer

Over the past week ING Direct has been working with the Administrators of Kaupthing Edge to clear a backlog of payment instructions that were not able to be completed when Kaupthing Edge encountered difficulties.
While we have now processed over 95% of these payments, I am sorry to inform you that we are still working on a number of manual payment instructions, including the withdrawal request that you have made.
I do understand that the continuing delay is frustrating and I wanted to reassure you that my team is working with the Administrators to resolve the outstanding payment issues.
I appreciate your continued patience and I will contact you again shortly to confirm when the payments will be made.
Yours sincerely"

So I don't think Monay will bring me my £34K (requested by BACS on 11th Oct).

Surprising news given the request date. How long is anyone giving it tomorrow before escalating this to the media?
CHAPS 8th received 20th into HSBC A/C
BACS on the 17th and 20th received 22nd into HSBC A/C
CHAPS fee refunded 29/10

Indeed - However, anyone with funds still remaining with KE - Now ING, then we don't come under the FSCS scheme!

Now that does worry me just a tad!

All these so called financial experts coming on here are urging everyone to stay calm, yet claim - rightly so, that these are unpresidented times & no one will know how the current situation world wide will pan out.....Shucks!!

I don't think that a run on ING would be the answer though, as this would just put added pressure on obviously limited resources

Time to explore the Dutch compensation schem now rather than later & what support we could expect form HM treasury I would assume......

I maybe way off the mark here, but in this current climate, you never know!

I’m by no means a financial expert but I have had ups and downs in my life. I speak from many years of experience when I say there is no point in fretting, worrying and panicking, it really never solves anything. I’m getting angry and annoyed, if anything.

The FSCS cannot wash their hands of us and then send us from the frying pan into the fire. There are enough of us to drum up a lot of publicity, which governments and companies hate.

I intend to sit tight for one more day and then if necessary will help the s*#t hit the fan with everybody else.

Chill

If I've seen nothing by 9.0AM tomorrow I've an email going reminding these media programs that they have been made to look stupid by ING as they have been passing on incorrect information.

Those that have missing payments - check your email.

As mentioned above ly-ING are sending out emails advising possible delay.

Rgds

I haven't got one Mark, so I don't know whether to be relieved or not. At least, if I had I'd know that I exist on a list somewhere.
CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10
BACS 18/11 (£30) (actioned 19/11) received CHAPS Halifax 21/11
BACS 24/11 (£50) (actioned 25/11) received Halifax 28/11

Stercus accidit:cool:
• You'll notice that mark99 is waiting for a BACS transfer, and we know from the database that there are very few of those outstanding, so that would fit with mark99 unfortunately, being identified as an error to be resolved by manual means.

As no CHAPS "waiters" have received the mail, our story, as we thought, is different.

He sounded really genuine when I spoke with him Saturday afternoon.

I haven't had email, what does that mean? that I'm one of the lucky few getting money monday? or forgotten altogether?

Belive it or not bigg, I am acyually quite calm about all this at the moment..........Must be the Grouse!! :p

Apologies, I wasn't refering to you personally as being a "financila expert" But there have been 1 or 2 on recently! ;-) If you think back 10 days or so, everyone was just about telling us that everything was "calm" & there was no need to worry about KE, then we were preached that ING are one of the biggest institutions on the planet.....Albeit, without a crdible PR department!! And now, they are starting to sound like they have to go, cap in hand begging for funds from the Dutch government..........Well, does it all auger well in your opinion - Given
events over the past few weeks?
Non illigitamus carborundum!!
• For anyone who does'nt believe that ING will come up with their money next week, I say GET A LIFE AND PUT YOUR CASH IN A COCOA TIN UNDER THE BED NEXT TIME. STOP WHINGING AND CONSIDER YOUR OWN PART IN THE DOWNFALL OF KE.

Answer: They just dont know! I asked about CHAPS transactions as to whether these were specifically the "manual transactions" in question - at first the chap gave me the usual spiel and then admitted he didn't know.

When I called on Friday and asked the same question, I was expressly told, "No, the manual transactions are the ones where the instructions to make the transfer were given over the phone."
CHAPS to Natwest: sent 9/10, RECEIVED 22/10 at 16.35
