Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

I made a bacs transfer on the 7th which arrived as a chaps yesterday(only £70) and a chaps transfer at approx 11.30am on the 8th which has disappeared into that big hole in the sky.It would be the bigger amount of course(20k).does this support the latest theories?

Need to know anyone here waiting, requested by CHAPS after 8th.

This theory was discussed very early on, but we all buried our heads in the sand then, and now the day of reckoning is looming.

I am sorry, but we must face upto the facts, we must investigate this again. No use putting off the evil day.

Very early on in this thread, someone raised this point, and that is what is worrying. ING have no responsibility to us, who made the request before 8th.

Am I right in assuming that all people waiting made their requests beforethe 8th?

There is a ray of hope in that many of the BACS people who made their transfers, were before the 8th, and they got paid.

However, early in th ethread, someone posted that CHAPS went through Kaupthing Singler FRiedlander, who are in the hands of administrators, and hence our funds are with the administrators.

We are gonna have to escalate this!

I sicerely hope I am wrong, but we will have to grasp this nettle! No use burying our heads in the sand.


ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS?

People who submitted BACS (my father in law included) on the Monday before it went belly up have got their money. He was in the same boat i.e. his balance showed zero - like mine (mine was CHAPS on 7/10) and no doubt yours. So I don't think he would have got his money if the horrible idea you had (which I hasten to add I did share at one point!) was reality. Like you I wondered if our zero balances didn't count in the transfer to ING and we would be in the hands of the administrators ... but BACS people in same boat now have their money.

I think it will arrive but like most people on here what annoys me most is the bad attitude of ING. I manage IT projects and we always build in slack to deadlines, wherever possible, to give soom room to deal with any issues. If they thought they could do it by the Friday 17th they should have said Friday 24th. Then they would have looked great if they could have tied everything up by the middle of next week, wouldn't they? Shame they haven't shown a bit of humility, they haven't even updated their webiste with the latest info, hence a good job we have this thread!
