Dear Mr XXXXM
Thank you for your email.
I confirm that the majority of all payments were made by the end of yesterday.
Payments may have been credited to your destination bank account at differing times yesterday. Depending on your destination bank, some payments may not be processed by your bank until Monday, when the funds will show in your account. As stated on our website, there are also a small number of manual payment instructions which will take longer to process.
I would like to thank you for your continued patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused to you. We are committed to keeping all our new customers fully up to date via the Kaupthing Edge website or at www.ingdirect.co.uk/kaupthingedge.asp.
Please do contact me on 0118 938 1952 if I can be of any further assistance.
Yours sincerely

I think we should email him, each one of us, with our transaction number, asking him is it one of the manual ones, and when they will complete it, and ask him to confirm that interset will be credited till money is dispatched, and chaps charges will be refunded.....Illegitimi non carborundum

Which seems like a good way of slowing things down even further. You could be trying to reclaim this from the FSCS - imagine how long that would take.
Give ING time to get this sorted - they've inherited a mess.Great !0 -
I can’t believe ING had this golden opportunity to harvest 160,000 customers and have completely blown it. My money will never go outside the UK again; of course I’ve got to get it back first. After all the bad publicity the banks have had, they still lie to us. Let’s NuKeM Luke.

If you are using Outlook Express ...
In the menu bar ... Tools > Options > Receipts tab > tick the box "Request a read receipt for all sent messages".
This won't guarantee you'll always get a read receipt since everyone else also has the option to tick the box "Never send a read receipt", and many businesses have that option set as a default in their email systems.

I feel deeply sorry for anyone who has'nt received their money yet, and it must be worrying. I left my money with ING as I truly believe that AD would not knowingly take our money out of a risky situation and put it at further risk. The posts concerning ING's financial position are likely to spook some people but the last thing we need is a run on this Bank.
I read last week that the Dutch Government has offered x billions of Euro for Banks requiring capital but no-one has so far taken up the offer. Should ING require shoring up there is an immediate source, so I am keeping the faith and leaving my money where it is.
Found your post interesting, because most people on here are talking about transfers they attempted up to 10.10. Like you I made a BACS transfer last week (before I came across this thread!) but in my case on the 13th and for £10k. It went out of my KE acc immediately (but later in the week I saw they had changed the date to the 14th.) I thought at the time things must be getting back to normal and was going to ring them if not received by 21st. I thought they must be prioritising in date order.
But now I see you have received yours I'm worrried! I am with First Direct, how about you?0 -

There were inevitably going to be delays and I knew the deadline would slip away, that’s understandable and forgivable but keeping us in the dark and telling us lies is unacceptable.0
