Tip, put a brief message in the subject field0 -
I have KE fixed term and "instant access" accounts. I did nothing before or during the chaos. Last Tuesday, to try out ING's efficiency, I transferred a small amount out via BACS to my linked account. It has still not arrived.
Does not inspire confidence.
Radio 4 programme did not take us forward to any great extent IMHO.
Can we trust any promises?0 -

He is the customer relations manager at Ingdirect. He has said today that he has been told from the powers above that all transactions have been completed but sadly he was only regurgitating what's on the update.I got the feeling he didn't know anymore than the customer services team.He couldn't even tell me when they stopped processing transactions yesterday!I asked him to try and organise an update to put people out of some of their misery. Can only do if the web page staff are in he said.He was in his office 20 mins ago.His phone no. is 0118 9381952.His e mail address is alastair.hemmings@ingsdirect.co.uk.
Thanks..... Just emiled him the new logo, and a demand for my money, or at the very least, an update on the website today!
***** IMPORTANT *****
Please email tmvc2007 with the amount, date of transfer, method (Chaps/Bacs) and linked bank account.
Collectively, this WILL get some media coverage by Tue/Wed if nothing is received!!
THANKS tmvc2007!0 -
Now standing at £2,519,269 from 76 transfers (amounts disclosed in 73). I have just made life miserable at ING customer services - very surprised to hear I knew facts about so many transfers but no joy, just usual platitudes so far - though I did speak to alot of people (I think they hoped I'd fade into the ether). However, was informed that no assurance could be given that any CHAPS initiated transfers from the 'transition period' had arrived in linked accounts. Being able to quote all the different banks very useful. Next stop KE -although in reality, noone with any real power is going to be in work on a Saturday (I was told that too)
tmvc2007 Thanks for collating this information. I posted my info a couple of hours ago at 10.34 (Post #4410) but didn't mention that my other half is also awaiting his CHAPS transfer of £31K actioned on 7/10 debited from account on 8/10 and destined to arrive at A&L.
That running total is a really substantial amount of money from just those of us on this Forum, goodness knows how many more there might be. ING get real!0 -

To be fair he did answer my original e.mail sent on Thurday which surpresed me cos the one i sent to johan de TWIT bounced back. The one to Richard Doe (Marketing Director) did go through but no reply. Feel free to hassle him too! E.mail address richard.doe@ingdirect.co.uk.:p0

Alastair from ING has just rang me back, chatted through all the spiel and is now going to ring Kaupthing people who are also working today and find out what is happening and then ring me back. I won't hold my breath but he seems genuinely concerned and a nice guy.If you want to be rich, never, ever have kids0
