Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

I'm collating whatever details people feel comfortable with giving me, so it's up to you really.
Database now stands at 58 transfer, 55 amounts disclosed total still not here = £ 1,856,298
Could I respectfully request that those who have received their money do not push my buttons by suggesting that 'now is the time to fight for lost interest'?
Hi tmvc2007 - thanks for doing this! I'm a CHAPS victim, transferred approx £33500 @ about 10:50am on 7th October. Left Kaupthing account immediately, as did the CHAPS fee (grrr!) Still no sign in my target Natwest current account. Looks like the CHAPS transactions have well and truly fallen down the cracks, can we have our thread back please people?0 -
If I'd known ING were taking over I wouldn't have moved money at all. However, the only rumour at the time was that foreign assets of Icelandic banks would be being sold off, so I thought moving most of my instant access stuff was a wise move! Doh!CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10
BACS 18/11 (£30) (actioned 19/11) received CHAPS Halifax 21/11
BACS 24/11 (£50) (actioned 25/11) received Halifax 28/11

Funnily enough my Girlfriend started a BACS request on Tuesday 7/10 and I urged her to use CHAPS instead to get it quicker. I’ve never known the house to be so quiet0

But in that case don't you think it's odd that EVERYONE'S chaps payment on here since the thead started is in the same batch?!
I made my transfer out on Wed 8 oct., about 8.00am. The money was not taken out of my acnt on the 8th, as one would expect. It went out on the 9th, about 6.00pm! That is after close of business the next day! I suspect that all the requests, whether bacs or chaps received during the uncertainty period, 4,5,6,7,8 and 9, were left pending, and suddenly on the 9th, someone has attempted to deal with our chaps requests, and something happened to the processing. Gone into oblivion. Of course all this is pure speculation on my part.....Illegitimi non carborundum

I agree exactly - I would have preferred it if they'd simply put a complete stop on all transactions (as they did with ICESAVE) so that at least the funds would have been visible in the account - not LOST as they have been since 7/10.0 -
Morning all, Well still no sign of my cash!!! but are we going to start a new thread when everyone has their dosh , working out where we are going to put it!!! under floorboards, casket it the garden.....0

To share the little knowledge I have with you all..
Chasing my 30k that I transferred out by CHAPS on 7th October, I spoke with a lady called Hazel who read off a script to me that the money would be in my bank as of 8pm last night, as promised, but it was up to my bank to put it in my account. A story im sure many of you have heard. However, when I pushed her she decided to pass me over to a senior manager.
The senior manager started by regurgitating all the scripted lines that he had been given to say to me, but after a ten minute argument he admitted that the guarantees that KE are passing on to customers like us are the 'latest information' that they have from ING, which by his (eventual) admission changes regularly, so the guarantees they pass on to their customers are actually just the latest party line from ING, which could change any minute of any day.
I asked him if he thought that maybe he should at least be telling customers that these are not guarantees or assurances, given that it isnt exactly pocket change we are dealing with here, and surprisingly he agreed.
I then asked him if he could honestly guarantee that the money would be in my lined account and available to me by COB Monday, to which he replied 'no'.0 -
Anybody had any progress with their elected representatives (MPs etc.) who SHOULD be looking after our interests?0

I did mine at virtually the same time and it went from my account instantly and the CHAPS fee was instantly taken off my remaining balance.
All this says, was that everything was in choas by then and we were already doomed.CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10
BACS 18/11 (£30) (actioned 19/11) received CHAPS Halifax 21/11
BACS 24/11 (£50) (actioned 25/11) received Halifax 28/11
