Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

I've just finished my night shift and checked my A/L account and finally my BACS request 07/10/08 has reached my account :j :j :j showing chaps inward dated 17/10/08. It could be credited very late last night.
Now it's time to chase the lost interest.;)
I said all along that I'm positive that I can get my money back. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting and I'm sure you'll be reunited with your money soon.0 -
BACS BACS BACS........
What the f**k was the point of any of us paying an extra £20 for CHAPS at the time? Even the BACS that people sent for FREE are coming in as CHAPS....:mad:0 -

So am I.
Pity I have no choice in the matter as I'd really like it back.....0 -
Ah well, another day, and NOT another dollar.
I have got 2 things though. A headache from last night's consolation bottle of wine, and a sore throat and the sniffles! The stress has shot my immune system to bits and being around students and their thriving fug of mutating bacterial soup all day has done me in!
If we really are the (claimed) small number of manual payments they couldn't process, why are they not contacting us all individually to reassure us?
I sent my details to tmvc2007 last night, but didn't include my transaction number. Do you want it, tmvc2007?
I will email money box later today, did the BBC last night. Caught a bit on the news this morning with the bloke from moneybox, who was saying that it's unlikely Icesave people will get their money within the 3 month dead line as officials are still wrangling over it. Sorry, to those with Icesave, not what you want to hear. Luckily, just as I was about to open an account with them I decided that not being covered by the UK compensation scheme was probably a bad idea. Still I've ended up with that anyway by default with ING.
Heyho, off to do normal things shortly.
I'm confused, what's the difference between ING and ING direct?CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10
BACS 18/11 (£30) (actioned 19/11) received CHAPS Halifax 21/11
BACS 24/11 (£50) (actioned 25/11) received Halifax 28/11

ING, or ING Group, is the parent company, whereas ING Direct is - from what I understand - their savings arm (ING Group own many other companies I think). Would be worth looking up in Wikipedia, I'm sure there's more info there...
Still no money in my linked account from my CHAPS transfer. At this stage as long as I know that ING direct are AWARE of its existence then that would be good enuogh, but I'm starting to worry whether that is the case. I suggest people in my position all print their transactions list from the KE accounts page that shows a transfer (if you haven't already done so) ...0 -

I'm collating whatever details people feel comfortable with giving me, so it's up to you really.
Database now stands at 58 transfer, 55 amounts disclosed total still not here = £ 1,856,298
Could I respectfully request that those who have received their money do not push my buttons by suggesting that 'now is the time to fight for lost interest'?CHAPS 8th Oct Rec'd 20th Lloyds TSB0 -

I did that at the time of my transfer, having a highly suspicious nature.CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10

Me too...I wish now I haven't panicked last week and initiated that transfer in the first place. Luckily because of my own paranoid nature I only transferred (or should I say "tried to transfer" for now!) SOME of my balance to my linked account and not all, because I actually thought, what if it's left somewhere 'in between' the accounts while all the KE-being-taken-over business is ongoing. Shortly after doing it I kinda thought i'm probably being too paranoid, surely this can't happen! And here were are... sometimes it's worth having a suspicious nature it seems...

I've just phoned ING on the number they give for KE customers, open 9am-9pm this weekend - 0845 848 0282 - (only 0.5p/min using 18185) - got through very quickly.
CHAPS transfer for £34K requested on morning of 7/10 to A&L account - nothing through yet. The girl I spoke to said they had processed all payments but that they are in the 'banking system' now until Monday. She was confident that funds would be through on Monday. GOD I HOPE SO!!!
She also said CHAPS fee would be refunded. I didn't get a clear answer as to why CHAPS had taken longer than BACS but as long as the fee is paid back that will do. Good luck to all you others out there waiting. What time should we started checking accounts on Monday I wonder?0
