    First Direct, still no money. The handling of this situation has been a farce from day one, I swore I'd never do business with ING again after the debacle of "Our customers don't want high interest rates, they want great service" a few years ago, now it appears they offer neither.

    They are absoloutely useless. I'm furious with their inept and incompetant management.

    Spoke to Karen at ING Direct who now acknowledges that they can't keep their promise to have fund in accounts by end of today.

    Claims that they will be there on Monday.

    When challenged on a few things, her response was "Well, you can't believe everything that you read in the papers."

    And we can believe ING.....??
    If it’s Karen, who used to work for one of my suppliers, she never did get anything right. Not one of my orders were correct. I changed suppliers to one up in Scotland and guess what? 3 weeks later I phoned up and this voice said ‘Hi, remember me, it’s Karen’. I don’t deal with them now. Stay away from Karen!:mad:

    Just spoke to ING - man said that they are carrying on there until 6pm pushing through the transactions. Those that go through nearer to 6 may not show up in our accounts until Monday. I asked why original CHAPS didn't seem to be coming through yet. He said he didn't know -but I wasn't the first person to have phoned about that. He said both BACS and CHAPS are definitely being processed until 6pm

    What number did you get ING on???

    Quite relieved to see my BACS transfer (requested 8th October) turn up in my HSBC account! :T

    I checked a few times today but there was no sign of it – it seems to have appeared sometime in the last hour! It has somewhat restored my faith in ING (not enough for me to transfer it back there mind you!). :p

    Best of luck to everyone still waiting on theirs.

    Here we go again........another weekend of despair and waiting.
    Whatever happened to believing in someone's word was their bond.
    ING you shouldn't make empty promises for those of us still waiting for our cash. (Yes, I know you have until 5pm)
    Just while I was typing this.... I just got a call from Barclays, she reitterrated that the cut off point would be 5pm UNLESS any arrangements had be made to extend the time. But she said if anything came through via CHAPS it would then have to be manually matched up by Barclays staff to check name and account number, so if Barclays CHAPS team go home, I will be looking for some comfort Monday! :eek:
