Thanks Clare Mc. I think that's a fantastic idea. If 1000+ of us send in a real stinker then perhaps they'll sit up!!!
Smashing idea....other half is off to Bangalore on monday-plenty of curry out there so should be a good one to send them..
I've got a binliner full of baby nappies at the ready.....0 -
All,
Bank of ENgland have called for a CHAPS exntension this eve until further notice, got this from HSBC chaps dept......
...dont know what it means though.....
K.
If this is true, it could mean that CHAPS transactions can be put through after the CHAPS cutoff time, 5.00, I think....if that is the case money could be being transferred from KE to our banks. Whether the money will show up in our accounts today, is anyones guess. It could show tomorrow.....Illegitimi non carborundum

I'm getting depressed now! I've been worried but not depressed until this afternoon!
Not a sausage in my Halifax account! The only consolation is the a direct debit (nearly £1000) for my daughter's student accomodation which was due on the 10th hasn't been collected yet either.
A year ago I had a current account and an ISA that I hadn't added to in 10 years. Then my Mum died and I suddenly had some money. What should I do with it? Tried the stock market, realised in time where that was heading, took it out. I know, a nice safe bank with lots of interest! If God exists, then it's only to mock me!
When my money comes back I'm spending it!!!!!!!!CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10
BACS 18/11 (£30) (actioned 19/11) received CHAPS Halifax 21/11
BACS 24/11 (£50) (actioned 25/11) received Halifax 28/11

Mine just arrived! And it's to Nationwide, so that may give some you waiting some hope, it's obviously still worth checking your Nationwide accounts.
I don't know how it arrived as it just says Bank Credit. I requested it by BACS on the 7th, for 30k.0 -
Just received mine that I 'withdrew' on 7/8 Oct. Hope you all get everything back by cob as promised, but if not, try to have a restful weekend.0

Good point. Log off, on worked for me at 15.20 today. I had been F5'ing.0 -

According to Bloomberg ticker half an hour ago ING Direct will have to apply for recapitalisation! Guess we cleaned them out with all these payments going through!
Still waiting for 17K CHAPS 8/10 8.30am to enter my HSBC account!
The money we are getting was supplied by the UK FSCS.
ING were distributing it in return for the mailing list of KE customers. I don’t think £2.5 Billion would be a good price for an empty bank.0
