Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

Come on guys, stop bashing ING! It's not their fault Iceland crashed, and they've just had a few hundred thousand annoyed customers dumped on them, not to mention a load of new data and systems they will need to figure out. Give them a chance. I for one am grateful and relieved that ING stepped in to help here, otherwise I'd be filling out FSCS forms like I'll have to for Icesave. Least we can do is be patient and give them a few days leeway.
They've had enough of a chance. Everything is rubber stamped; all that remains is button pressing and we could all have our money returned by now if the will was there to do it. It is naive in my opinion to think anything other than they are capitalising out of holding on to the funds as long as possible.0 -

Believe me we were NOT plants to keep the heat off!
I feel really bad for you guys given today's lack of action, after Friday I really believed it would continue on a positive theme today and be resolved by mid-week. Cynically now I'm more inclined to think that they got us early-birds paid with CHAPS on Friday to calm the waters over the weekend, but may possibly be paying the rest of you by BACS now they've ridden the media "storm" on Friday making it old news as far as the general public are concerned. My Excel Mortgage Calculator Spreadsheet: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=11571730 -
Also just emailed panorama. We need to raise the profile of this to ensure ING make all possible efforts to clear the backlog of transactions.0

High All
Sorry if this has been asked before, I opened a 6 month term deposit 2 month ago & I'm a bit jittery about keeping it there, i know you shouldn't panic & take the money out but just in case can anyone help
There seems to be no option to cancel the deposit account online i understand i will loose any interest, do you have to call them? If so who do you call ING No or Kaupthing edge Any advice would be helpful0 -
just had an email reply from the FSA which strangely bears no relation to our situation of 'missing transfered funds' with KE (UK) and just directs me to this website.......hope this doesn't mean there's a snag at ING?

Give ING a chance for goodness sake!
On top of dealing with their own mass of customers, they now have the Kaupthing ones to deal with.
I did a BACS transfer last Tuesday night, but I'm not expecting it arrive in my bank account until the end of the week.
If it arrives before then, I will be pleasantly surprised.
Give them at least a week to start sorting things out.
Just be patient.If it's not a bargain, it's not worth buying0 -
Folks,
I'm a new poster here, but a long time lurker.
Firstly, thanks to everyone for the community support - esp those folks who went on TV last week.
Today, just in the last hour I received the proceeds of my BACS transfer that I initiated at approx 1.00 pm on Friday 3rd Oct. The amount was £1000. I cannot tell you whether it arrived in my destination account as a BACS or CHAPS. It certainly set off on it's (long!) journey as a BACS.
I still have an outstanding CHAPS from 11.00am on Tues 7th for ~£33,000 - nothing showing for this yet.
Cheers all.
So at least there's been one more payment through!!!!!0 -
UPDATE: MONDAY 13TH OCTOBER 17:40
PAYMENT UPDATE
The ING Direct team are onsite working with both the Administrators and Kaupthing Edge, and our top priority remains addressing the backlog of payments as quickly as possible, whilst ensuring they are correctly processed.
ING Direct understands how concerned our new customers are and would like to reassure them once again that their money is safe, and we are working hard to return service to normal.
The good news is payments are continuing to be made, and we can also confirm that we will compensate for any loss of interest because of the delay. We are committed to keeping you fully up to date with our progress.CHAPS 8th received 20th into HSBC A/CBACS on the 17th and 20th received 22nd into HSBC A/CCHAPS fee refunded 29/10I can survive any crisis - I have kids!!0
