  • Give ING a chance for goodness sake!
On top of dealing with their own mass of customers, they now have the Kaupthing ones to deal with.
I did a BACS transfer last Tuesday night, but I'm not expecting it arrive in my bank account until the end of the week.
If it arrives before then, I will be pleasantly surprised.
Give them at least a week to start sorting things out.
    Just be patient.

ING must be able to access our accounts to be able to make transactions, so when you make a phone call a few clicks of the mouse they can see our accounts and all requests, they can then tell us what stage each transaction is at, but all they do is fob us off. People need acurate information and they are not coming forward with it.

    UPDATE: MONDAY 13TH OCTOBER 17:40

    PAYMENT UPDATE
The ING Direct team are onsite working with both the Administrators and Kaupthing Edge, and our top priority remains addressing the backlog of payments as quickly as possible, whilst ensuring they are correctly processed.
ING Direct understands how concerned our new customers are and would like to reassure them once again that their money is safe, and we are working hard to return service to normal.
The good news is payments are continuing to be made, and we can also confirm that we will compensate for any loss of interest because of the delay. We are committed to keeping you fully up to date with our progress.

Think that's about as good as it is going to get for now.......I would think CEO's rather concerned, if ING,as I suspect, are keeping tabs on this and other forums!!!!!
If you ARE reading it,sir, you will know your would-be customers are getting rather restless and rapidly seeking pastures new!

Agree with that Pickle, and surely it's KE staff still handling this anyway? They must still be in their usual offices, taking website instruction just as they were doing a few weeks ago only now under the wing of ING. ING staff won't be having much to do with this at this stage surely? The whole thing is a joke and we are giving them too much credence in my opinion.

It's true. ING has a big list of EVERY transaction on their books from 100000+ new customers who didn't even exist on ING's books last week, which turned up not as new ING accounts but as stillborn KE accounts, and they ALL know exactly where your transaction is. Not just to the level of "it IS in the system and since we're doing them all we'll get to it when we get to it, probably this week" but they, like, have it down the second when they'll push a button. They're probably even sometimes just waiting a few minutes for the fun of it.
  • have also like previous subscriber found names of ceo,cfo and marketing director of Ingdirect.(only first and last names.Couldn't find middle names). The one to Johan de wit wasn't accepted.Have sent e mails to each of them suggesting what they are doing is fraudulent.Have told them i shall be contacting police fraud dept.if i don't get some contact from someone at their end .Yes i've rung them up and got nowhere.Apparently no one at Ingdirect knows where our missing millions are.Unbelievable and untrue.Xferred 20k Wed am.Showing gone out but no sign in receiving account.:o
  • I suspect that KE are still dealing with the accounts.
All the KE accounts have to be migrated to INGs system.
That will take a while to do.
Just be thankful it's not Nationwide we're dealing with.
They took over a year to get all the Portman a/cs onto their Nationwide system when they merged!!
If it's not a bargain, it's not worth buying :D

Dont worry we will get our money back. How do you think you address a backlog of 160,000 withdrawals in a backlog. Glad i'm not dealing with it. And at least the last message shuts up the numpty earlier on who was going on about loss of interest. As I said before check out http://www.fool.co.uk/news/your-money/savings/2008/10/09/wheres-my-kaupthing-cash.aspx
as someone has received a payment today so they are slowly going through. I predict a raft of BACS payments on Wednesday!

I predict further hysteria. Still, we wouldn't be the British public without it.

yup... feels that way - typical - 7 days and no sign of my savings - something is wrong here

    Hi everyone,

I checked in here tonight ... my other half is asking why??? but, just got attached to this thread as it helped me so much and was hoping to read good news for you all.

Just wanted you all to know that my posting last Friday was genuine. I had ordered CHAPS transfer on Tues 7th (after 2), which didnt get processed until Wed 8th and the money was debited from my KE a/c immediately and didnt arrive in linked a/c.

I phoned KE from work on Thurs because I needed funds (£33k) for house completion and kicked up a bit on the phone (well, quite a lot actually). Eventually I spoke to a manager who wouldnt promise anything but said she would try to liase with ING and see what she could do. She asked me how much I was paying for the house and who my solicitors were etc. Then she phoned in the evening at home (I only gave her my mobile number earlier so she must have checked my details) and that time she asked me my security questions, which reassured me because I then knew she had access to my account.

On Friday she phoned me to check if the funds had gone through, which they had ,... although too late for completion, which was delayed.

I hope this helps and crossing my fingers that ING get a move on and show some consideration and understanding.
