  • Like plenty of others BACS for £30K on Tuesday 7th and nothing as yet. Sooner or later the funds will turn up but this post is being made in the not unreasonable hope that someone from INGS Direct is monitoring sentiment here.

On Friday I was considering repatriating my savings back to the KE account once received. It's still a possibility but the longer the uncertainty continues the more my confidence in INGS Direct is being eroded.

An official update on the KE website as to when outstanding BACS and CHAPS transfers from 06.10 to present will be made is not exactly rocket science. Someone must have a handle on the current situation.

If INGS Direct is serious about customer service then now is a golden opportunity to demonstrate it.

As I said before it is likely we will all get BACS and it will not be until Wednesday. It doesnt matter when the takeover took place, as looks like KE blocked all transfers from last weekend. It just matters when they release the BACS files and it will take 3 wkg days from then.

Like you, I was thinking of putting my 40k back into ING- but not now. The lack of information is the worst part.....
    Debt-free...and staying that way...
  • Original transfer on monday 6th, money lost in transmission like most of you, and very disappointed that nowt has arrived today.

I don't know about everyone else but if my money doesn't arrive in the next two days I am going to become extremely vocal; by that I mean bombarding Sky News, the BBC etc etc because the danger is the media will forget about our plight. They have moved on to bigger things ie. the 'bail-out'

I don't go with the attitude that we should be thankful for the treatment we are receiving; I feel that this situation has been handled badly. Communication has been appauling and I for one won't leave a single penny with ING. I wouldn't trust them an inch and I would rather stick with UK based banks with UK FSA licences from now on - I've had mine flirtation with foreign banks now!

On a positive note this forum is brilliant.

I phoned ING to see what interest rate transferred Kaupthing savings would be getting, but the lady couldn't tell me. I was so infuriated I ended up throwing my mobile phone against the wall - it was severely damaged so I've sent them the bill for a replacement.
If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...

    .

Also, was expecting daily updates on Martin's "Are Your Savings Safe" page ~ but nothing since last Thursday at 6pm (says updated 3x daily) ~ his advice and support would be helpful at this uncertain stage . . . .:money: Has he gone to ground ? I trust not . . . .[/quote]

Fair point this....not really helping is it.His last post said money was going back to KE!!!
  • I've waited patiently for very nearly a week without much help from my bank, KE or ING. Even the media seem to ignore us and concentrate on things which get them viewers and readers. I've read hundreds of posts on this site; has anyone suggested that we draft a letter and send copies individually to our local MP's? Not that I can imagine mine would do much! But it might get mentioned in the news and I do think that ING should now be pressurised to giving some positive information rather than sending out their stupid advertisments. I for one, will not be using them in the future unless they sort out my 35K within 2 more days. Anyone think that letters/emails to MP's (or higher) might do something to quicken things up??? I'm beginning to get more than worried now; I wonder if people are being made ill by the stress? I am!
  • Just spoke to KE and was advised that ING are processing all outstanding payments requests and they have no idea when we will be paid or how far through this task they actually are, just the fact they are working to process all outstanding requests.
