Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

  • On the BBC website it says that the government is transferring our £50,000 compensation directly to ING, with anything above this made up by the treasury. This means we don't have to claim ourselves, which is what ICsavers will have to do. Maybe the compensation scheme payments is the hold up in our money coming through?

If it's trickling in, I guess it can only trickle out. And yes, I'm still waiting for my Wed CHAPS transfer.

Like I said much earlier in this thread, the ING thing is just a UK government bailout by another mechanism. I think the talk of legal action above is a bit too much and also complaints about lost interest. We are lucky to be getting anything back at all. Especially those with more than 50k in there. Unbelievable that someone would have close to 500k!!!
  • Hi I transferred £££'s 8th oct am. Still no sign in barclays , it was chaps.
anyone received theirs from the 8th?
  • Only less than an hour to go and NO ONE has received a Bacs or a Chaps payment today no matter when they withdrew it (bar someone called Trixibelle on the Fools website this am - could be a plant to calm us)

Look, we're all in the same boat (on a rocky sea!) no-one has got any money today ...so maybe tomorrow ...because after all tomorrow is another day! (walks off into sunset from smoking ruins..... of life savings)
  • Shouldn't we be thankful that this is one of the 1st banks to go under and it looks as if there is still money in the pot to pay out? Unfortunately, I have other accounts with other banks, and may not be so lucky next time.

Does any one know a good home safe company?
    CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10
    BACS 18/11 (£30) (actioned 19/11) received CHAPS Halifax 21/11
    BACS 24/11 (£50) (actioned 25/11) received Halifax 28/11

    Stercus accidit:cool:
  • I'm currently on hold with ING Direct, who tried to fob me off with Kaupthing Edge's phone number.

I'm waiting for a supervisor to answer the only question that I'm asking them "Why have you made no transfers today?"

I'll post if I get any sort of answer.

    Telephone number is 0845 603 8888

I think we're going to have to up the campaign again.....

Today's been a downer... seems very unfair that nobody's received their money today after Friday's. Gimme strength!
