Anyway, apologies again, as I said I didn't intend to drag this discussion up again or have another pop at you
No problem,Locoblade...I do accept your points and,as I explained,my reaction on Friday was probably a mix of relief at getting my money back and anger at having been put through the traumatic experience that sadly others are still suffering.
I am 100 per cent sure now that all will be ok...but certainly didn't feel so confident in the early part of last week when this all kicked off.Did anyone?!
Many a lesson learnt and once everyone's money is safely through,we can all take stock of what has happened.0 -

Boo Hoo - me neither...
So far after trying to do the right thing and "spread my money around" I have managed to move 1/3 to KE the week before it went under (bad move - money now lost in the ether), open an Irish Bank account for another 1/3 (which I'm now afraid to use despite Irish Govt guarantee cos they might behave the same as Iceland) and transfer the final 1/3 to Capital One (which in my haste I left out the full account number and so this is also temporarily lost in the ether.)
I was quite happy with it all in one account before all that. Sigh!0 -
We transferred £50k by CHAPS on 08.10.08. There is no sign of any money into our linked account or back into the KE account.
I sent an email directly to the CEO, CFO and Marketing Director and received a telephone call shortly afterwards which did not really explain anything more than the call centre staff but "assured" us that the payments were being processed although no timeline was given and they could not say where the money actually is.
I suggested in the email that a fraud may have been committed and if we did not have contact before close of play then I would make a complaint to the police against the CEO. They called within about 15 minutes of receiving the email.
ING's email adresses work like this:
firstname.middlename.lastname@ingdirect.co.uk
I wouldn't dare suggest that people send them all an email, but if you dig a bit on their website the main people are all named.....:silenced:
Enjoy!:rotfl:0 -
just out of interest (excuse the pun). Does anyone have or know where I can find a spreadsheet to work out how much interest I would be earning in x number of years on my ISA?0

perhaps theyve now decided to transfer the money by BACS so we'll have to wait another few days - seems strange that nobody has received theri money yet .......0

has anyone phoned ING or KE today to ask what time they think the money will start coming through~? I'm getting really tired now, I just need my money to pay a builder - it seems unfair - but I still have hope we'll see it before the end of the day
I called Ing this morning to see if they could say when my am 7th BACS withdrawal would arrive back into my bank account.
They said "Sometime this week....hopefully"........
So I'm afraid that means........wait and see....which is no help whatsover!

I am not sure it is just a question of backlog, is it? They need a huge amount of cash to be able to transfer all our money...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
