Weekly Flylady Thread 6th October 2008

Over the weekend I worked really hard to get my bedrooms looking reasonable. Then tonight I have tidied a drawer out in my room and DD has tidied a drawer out in her room. Now all the stuff out of the drawers is making the rooms look a tip again. At least when it was in the drawers no-one could see it.
(Note to self...you don't need to buy anymore knickers...ever!)

Evening all

Organised as usual I managed to catch up with 6 pages of the thread and had all my replies ready for when I came home – but I forgot to put them on my memory stick !!!! So massive apologies for all those I miss and to pigpen a massive hug and happier vibes on their way.

Well we are back in this week and the krew have been a massive help tonight

Marvellous Monday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs

Level 1
[strike]Vacuum through both living rooms, hall and stairs [/strike]- ME
Level 2
[strike]Dusting, even if around everything[/strike] – DS FRONT ROOM, DD MIDDLE ROOM
[strike]Sweep stairs down and wipe over, remove any clutter[/strike] - DS
Clean windows and all glass.. including the tv screen – OH (and he didnt realise it was just the rooms on the lists and has done all the doors downstairs, 5 doors each with 15 little panes :rotfl:
Clear a drawer .. any drawer - ME still to do
Level 3
[strike]Wipe and water plants[/strike] - DD
[strike]Put all your hotspots in one pile[/strike] - ME, now on one side in DR
[strike]Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself[/strike] - ME
Extra Mission: Pick one or more of the following tasks –

1. Drag everything out of the under stair cupboard.. and keep what you need to and fling what you don't!!
2. Wipe down any paintwork that needs it.
3. Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
4. HHI

Still to do tonight

Update finances on computer
HHI (must do work clothes and school clothes for DD)

Awww I know what you mean, it takes so long to get things looking good and anything making a mess feels like you did it all for nothing.

But would you have cleared those drawers before flylady? It will only take a few mins to move the stuff off the bed and everything will be fine again. If you haven't got time to sort it properly now then put it all in an old shoe box to sort tomorrow. Once it's sorted you will have the knowledge that the room and the contents of it are tidy and sorted.

Errr NO! I have found knickers I bought 2 sizes ago and I certainly haven't been that size since before I had DD 10 years ago.

i think i saw someone offering lagers round i got a few carling but not much else, but let the party commence(is it allowed on mons?):rolleyes:

TOOTS TO-DO LIST

Marvellous Monday - Living Room, Hall
Clear a drawer .. any drawer

Tuesday trauma - Kitchen
Level One
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Level Two
Sweep and mop floors
Clean the oven.. & hob
Wipe table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in eating area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Clean out your mankiest kitchen cupboard.. mine is the baking cupboard.. what is yours?
Extra Mission : help yourself

1. Run the WM & DW through 'clean cycle'.. hottish wash with a splosh of vinegar, soda crystals bleach.. whatever you fancy just clear those pipes of gunge!
2. Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
   
3. 32 fling boogie..
4. Have a film fest.. with popcorn and pop!!
5. Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET

My M.A.C.A.W challenge this week is..............to be in bed by 11pm and be up before 8am Going to keep this one for another week at least until I get better at it!!

my tasks for this week

1. check out electricity/gas suppliers for better deal - started
2. send long newsy email to cousin (female)
3. send long newsy email to cousin (male)
4. send info to debt counsellor friend
5. continue with elec/gas enquiries
6. watch and return family wedding dvd
7. put 10 things on ebay and amazon

I have set myself 7 tasks for this week - at a rate of 1 per day that is not much - these must be done this week.

on top of these tasks if I get through my chores then I will be doing more ebay/amazon and any other decluttering tidying that I can manage!!!!!

haven't much to add to my 2 mini lists from earlier.
oh yes, i've watered my one plant :T - i've had it 4 weeks and it's still alive!!! major achievement for me :rotfl:


dropped dd at a birthday party and left her for an hour - she kept reassuring herself that i'd pick her up later and was fine after the 5th time for me to leave lol - when i came back they all were dancing around to loud music - very cute seeing 3year olds dance around :j


tidying up my sky+ box and watching some programes i've recorded for the evenings when DP is at work - atm i am so into ally mcbeal - good fun :T
