I like gin, me. And it doesn't have any Triker like ill effects...cos it's distillate not residue...

ok, had a look at the site and you're right it does look like a military excercise - although i thought that when i bought anthea turners book - and kim and aggies - oh and another housekeeping book - i have always had good intentions but i find pigpen is easier to cope with - even her rath is a good kick up the rear end

They all have a mental illness over there.. way too full on.. I swear they do nothing else but cleaning when the whole idea is to make cleaning take LESS time leaving more time for things you enjoy.. like.. Merlin, Heroes and X Factor!

  • Hello one and all.

It has been a busy one here all weekend, but the boys are just watching TV for 10 minutes so i thought i would squeeze in a quick post.

Sarahs beautiful bling - i had assumed it was a ring, but that works equally well. Hope you have a good reason to wear it soon to show it off

nicki the models were brill. The mould problem, i have just found the same mould on some wooden wardrobes in the room i dry my clothes, i have just bought us a dehumidifier as the mould was getting really bad in the nursery, and it is scary how much water it is pulling out of the atmosphere - it has been on constantly for the past week, but i think we may have dried out now and the condensation has stopped.

and, i wasn't the one doing the cleaning thread, thank god because i am behind enough on the declutter and organise your home one anyway. I get the guilts every now and again and spend time doing it.

    Right, my achievements this weekend:

    Sat:
    • food shop
    • DH and DS1 replaced the rotten wood on the garage door, and undercoated it
    • i spent about an hour ironing
    • hoovered downstairs
    • couple of loads of washing
    • made HM pizza
    • part cleaned bathroom - i did loo, DH did bath
    Sun:
    • all beds stripped, washed and remade
    • washed a load of my woolies, got out on line but not fully dried
    • couple of hours ironing clothes sorting
    • DH painted one coat on the garage door, although we will need to do another one at least for it to look good
    • MOVED DS1 INTO HIS NEW ROOM AND BED :j :j finally!!!!!
    • binned loads of items
    • mostly packed a bag for going away next weekend
    • made a roast with extras for DS1 tomorrow
    • got DS1's hair cut
    • made some purees up for DS2
    • bathed both boys
tonight now, i want to wash my hair, and then finish cleaning the bathroom, write an ingredient list in an email for MIL as she is going to bake DS1's cake with me at her house, sort out another load to go in the wash, and finally RELAX.

What did i do with my time before i had kids? No idea, but not this much housey stuff.

Right, will possibly pop in later if i get chance. I guess DH will be watching telly for the evening.

    M x

Moggins handed over to Lil_me when she and her hubby split.. Lil_me had it until last October when she started intense studying and found managing time was a little much with all her vast and plentiful other worthwhile causes she devotes her time to.. and now I have it.. :D I had it for a few weeks over last summer too while Lil_me moved to her new mansion.

thanks for that, your're doing a great job, just one question, you dont have to tell, if you think i'm being nosey, but how old are your brood?

    Chocolate Fudge Pudding:

    2tbsp melted butter
    1tsp vanilla essence
    1 cup s/r flour
    1tsp salt
    3/4 cup sugar
    2tbsp cocoa
    1/2 cup milk

    Top:

    3/4cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup cocoa
    1 3/4 cup hot water

    Mix dry ingredients
Add melted butter & vanilla essence
    Mix milk until stiff
    Put in a greased dish

    Top:
Sprinkle & add hot water carefully

    180 deg c / GM6 for 1 1/4hrs

I use a fan oven, so 160 degs for me .... also, if you don't have US cups ... just use a "normal" mug and do it from there, easy peasy and best served with single cream .. I did it with spray cream as that's all I had, it was "ok" but not brilliant. The spray cream that it ... ice cream would work too, needs to be substantial.

thank you so much! :D made this last night and it was deeeeeeelicious!!! :j
