  • Just got in from work and caught up with the thread -

Mudbath, how clumsy r u? Hope your bruises aren't hurting too much - we'll have to put you in a giant jiffy bag to cushion the fall.

Pigpen - honest I hadn't tried to curse Mudbath, just an honest enquiry - thank goodness for the cushioning effect of gibble. Is there really no other way for you to do your chosen course? - another 6 hours a week seems an awful lot - take care of yourself hun, you seem swamped...

liuhut - going to aussieland and in their summer too - i'm soooo envious - and what a great excuse to get flinging

MSDiva - re:computer going bang - that's really carp - I hope you didn't lose anything irreplaceable - (note to self - must back up more frequently - pigpen could we have it on every month or so pleeze or i'll forget)

polkadot - don't feel disheartened on trying to quit - once you've made up your mind it will happen eventually - I used to smoke between 40-80 fags a day and it took me 3 goes to quit for good in 2000 - I worked it out the other day that it would have cost over £45K in fags by now! Keep at it - you can do it. Re: celebration - is there anything that is really special to you both that you could recreate? It doesn't have to be fancy...

A'n'W'sMum - what a great idea for a memory book - that really would be an heirloom.

Am still wide awake so think I will carry on with a good mag-ripping session til I'm sleepy.

Have a great day tomorrow/today and :grouphug: to all that need them

And how exactly do you reckon that eh missy?? Nothing can be worse than this place I kid you not.

Focus on the things you have done and not what you haven't done. I constantly feel overwhelmed by it all but I try not to let it worry me any more. Things have to be done one step at a time. You will get there and things will improve, stick with it we are all here to help and support each other ;)

    Hugs

Exactly - if you feel bad, go look at your nice tidy draw - sounds stupid but its an achievement. I did that when I looked at the state of our bedroom after I had been through the wardrobe - Hubby had so many clothes that he just wouldn't throw out and I just went mad - the wardrobe looked great but everywhere else was a tip coz it was piles everywhere - I just bagged it all up and put it in the spare room till I had ebayed/recycled it. Don't panic, small steps and it will get done.

I've had a lovely bath and DH has been very nice...think he feels guilty about the loose cables. Anyway...I have bruises everywhere (which don't actually hurt but they're making him be sooooo nice!) He's changed the bed, walked the dogs, cleaned the kitchen and done some DIY. It was ALMOST worth it.

Night all and hugs to everyone xx

Ahhh Mudbath - hope you feel better soon, but like you say, at least something good came out of it...

Can I add my name to the needy? I am feeling SO tired - just can't shake it - have been like it for the past few weeks. I have ordered some bee pills, meant to be natural energy makers LOL, so hopefully they will arrive today or tomorrow and will make a difference.

    Morning everyone. Hello flower

An early one in our house. I am trying to wean DS2 off night time wakings. He slept through 2 nights, and obviously doesn't need food, but he wouldn't settle upstairs with just a drink of water. Had to come downstairs, and took about 11/2 hours to settle him (woke at 4:30) and now i would feel naff if i went back to bed. So, here i am.

It's been productive as i remembered that i had forgotton to put name tags in DS1's hat/scarf/gloves and as today is a nursery day, that is now done.

Today is going to be a houseworky day. hopefully DS2 will comply with my plans. I got DH to agree to take DS1 to nursery for me, so i should have a good day. I might nip to ASDA and get some stuff for DS1's party bags. Will see what i feel like later.

mudbath hope you are not too sore today- could you not just 'paint on' some bruises to get DH to do the DIY?? ;) It would be safer

pigpen hope things are less overwhelming today. If i can be any constructive help, please ask. If you need any assignment help or owt like that. Utilise our areas of expertise so to speak.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Michelle, x

    Morning all

Mozzy - the book is a factual one - about the men who built the town I live. They're a fascinating bunch - fraudsters, womanisers, bankrupts, rich people, poor people etc. I've got most of the research done, I just need to start writing it all up. I have a self imposed deadline of December 2009 for publication so I need to get cracking!

Wet and windy here this morning. The dog will stay home today I think. I need to nip to Tesco after work and post another ebay sale :D then I shall find out what flying I need to do. I guess poor Pigpen was too overloaded last night to post up today's list. It will be a nice surprise for me.

Right, bath, dress, work. Nothing changes!

    Have a good day

Morning Michelle, I get like that, can't go back to bed because I wouldn't get up and would feel naff after if I did - I just carry on until it really begins to hit home, THEN have a bit of a rest for about 15-30 mins (if I can, not [STRIKE]always[/STRIKE] usually possible) but find that works better, as I am more refreshed then. Hope you manage to get some rest later today...
