Pigpen, DeniseNZ, CS, Mudbath (ouch), SarahS, Kazw, Natty, Dusty and everyone I've forgotten (sorry) - hope you are all feeling a lot better tomorrow and feel able to tackle the carp that is being thrown at you

Lil_me - I see your campaigning worked and your friend got 10th. I'd keep one credit card hidden. Felt less concerned about some of my things being out of place when I read you had a gas bbq & canisters in the living room  or is it

Think I've crossed one item off my list, going to have an early night and hope that tomorrow I don't waste my time.
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli

Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board

The thread got so long because Greenbee had a 'work at home' day...
    quote]

:p Of course, that would explain why they're so short when I'm at work and in meetings all day :p and why there are THREE pages between me going off to make supper for my Dad and getting back to my desk after telling him he [STRIKE]needed [/STRIKE]deserved an early night after all the driving he's done ;)

I'm a little concerned as to what's caused all the upsets today. It's quarter moon (waxing) so I can't see that she's to blame this month  . The only thing I can think of is that the weather has been miserable, it's starting to be dark pretty much all the time outside of working/commuting hours, and its now about a month into the school terms so kids are getting stressed too.

TAG - congrats... hope you're sitting down relaxing and making the most of your acheivement

Kazmeister - well done! OH is obviously making an effort... just make sure you give him more lists that can be misinterpreted that way. I'd get him working on cleaning the skirtings if I were you :rotfl:

Christmasshopper - remember, if it doesn't need to go back in the drawer it contributes to your binbag dance! Chuck the stuff you don't need... if you can't bear to chuck it, put a bag/box to one side for the charity shop. Just think how much easier it will be to find the RIGHT pair of knickers each morning

Polka - you've done the difficult bit. Remember that we're here if you need us, and we'll help you beat it if that's what you want to do

Hugs to all of you who who need or want them. I hope everyone has a better day tomorrow.

BTW... just in case Valli gave you the impression that I didn't get any work done, I have written two presentations, dealt with my recruitment paperwork (5 rejections, 1 secondment, 1 permanent offer), created lots of work for my team, dealt with numerous queries, and given my boss a load of work to do ;)

... and my living room, hall and stairs are clean to L3 (I did cheat and move the hotspots), my Dad's had a two course (starter & main) meal with wine (and drinks & nibbles beforehand), my clock has been put up, and I've made my lunch for tomorrow.

Hippy110 yes, really pleased for Rebecca, but it's another 2 days before it ends so hoping some still vote yet. Oh the BBQ it's there, still there, I haven't found a place for it yet, bottles empty tho. It's stuff thats come from DPs great aunts house for the caravan, saved us a fortune buying a small gas bbq for next year as they have had to part with their caravan due to getting on a bit they have given us some of the things they didn't sell with it. I just don't know where to put it, might take it with me this weekend and put it in the caravan somewhere....

Right, ok, will put it in my car tomorrow to take there at the weekend.....well after I take the awning, tent etc out of it :o In my defence I have an extremely bad shoulder so haven't moved them yet. I promise!

Greenbee well done on getting the work done, can I have a job please? I've been out of the 'job market' so long now I find it depressing. I hate my consultant. I actually miss going to interviews and applying for them. I probably just had good experiences tho as I never failed an interview and always got offered a job, I bet once I can work and start getting rejected I'll hate them. I'll send you a CV then you can employ me, as a erm, something, I make good coffee, then make me redundant before I start to make me feel better :D I'm actually a bit out of practise with CVs, I've done a few for others and application letters, they all got the job which was great, but get lost off with my own blankety blanks...
One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me - if you were in the right part of the country I'd give you a job like a shot :D Hex is the best person to ask for advice (although she hasn't been around recently... has anyone heard from her?) as she's in HR, but if you need your CV reviewed when the time comes, feel free to PM me, together with an idea of the kind of thing you're looking for so I can comment.

None of you would want to work for me though, as I've just dropped a whole lot of emails through to my team with things I've thought of this evening. They know that however much they keep an eye on their mailboxes at home in the evenings, there will ALWAYS be new stuff in there in the morning. They prefer it if I go swimming/to the gym, as that gives them until 10ish each morning to get things back under control again!

Have just done my HHI (well about 10 mins really) so my duvet cover is done (at last) and there's no more ironing to do until I've done more laundry :j :j

A few clothes to put away that I took out of the airing cupboard earlier, and then I'm done (I don't have to pack my gym bag, as I'm being sociable and having breakfast with my dad rather than going swimming tomorrow morning).

Hope to catch up with you tomorrow and find out what Pigpen's got in store for us ;)

Trust me it'll be a one off and it was because I asked/told him to :D but he has brought me 2 mugs of tea while I've been updating finances :A

Well I'm off to bed and will have to iron a work shirt in the morning and catch up (hopefully if quiet) tomorrow.

    Night all

Thank you Greenbee. I forget sometimes:rolleyes:
Anyway-I have just had the most lovely sit down with DF and he's just said he's off to bed so I think I'll join him tonight. All my dailies are done and aside from the "washing stairs" the house is looking fab:j
    Good point that-where is Hex?
No ideas for my Thursday night yet then?

greenbee, thank you, you've just made me smile (so stop it it hurts when I have tooth ache!) and I might just take you up on that offer. I haven't heard from hex but she was full of busy last time she posted, we are sort of used to members who drift of when they've got too much on. I do like that idea for the team, I always prefered to be kept on my toes, I suppose the children manage that just fine at the minute but of course it isn't the same, I never worked less than 2 jobs or 1 job plus another project self employed until the children were born, it was normal for me to be doing at least 4 at once, so a bit of a change when I took ill just after DS2 was born. Will get there however, one day either my body will sort itself or my consultant will come up with a miracle!

Right then, bed time I suppose. Catch you all tomorrow, goodnight x

Polka - no ideas I'm afraid... but I'm sure your DS will be thrilled to be involved, after all, its important to him as well. Even if you have to be at home, maybe you can decorate the place and have a special meal.

Lil_me - don't push yourself too hard. You may have to change the way you approach things - finding a job that fits with what your body will let you do for example. Something with flexible hours, home/mobile working that is mentally stimulating but not physically draining. Sometimes a positive experience at work can help you overcome things (depending on what the problem is of course). Pain and depression are closely linked, so for any condition where chronic pain is a factor, having a job that is a positive experience can make a huge difference. For the moment, think positively about the fact that you are able to spend so much time with your children. You won't regret it, and neither will they.
